What people say

“A popular Isan restaurant in Sukhumvit. It’s pretty much where the night ends whenever I go out to hang out in the area. The atmosphere is always lively and busy. It's almost always packed with every table full. There is a mix of locals and foreigners, and it has that casual, easygoing vibe that makes it great for hanging out with friends and just enjoying a meal together. As for the food, papaya salad is something we order almost every time, especially the salted egg papaya salad. The flavor is really well-balanced, slightly tangy, a bit sweet, and salty from the salted egg. What stands out is the fermented fish sauce; it’s fragrant in a good way and not overpowering, so you still get that authentic Isan kick without it being too intense. The duck larb is another delicious dish. The duck is finely chopped and mixed with toasted rice powder and herbs, giving it a really aromatic flavor. It’s well-seasoned, not overly strong, and doesn’t have any gaminess. For meat dishes, the sun-dried beef is also done very well. The beef is good quality, fried just right, and not too chewy. Paired with the dipping sauce. Overall, this is an Isan restaurant that really delivers, and it’s especially popular among international crowds, particularly Chinese and Japanese diners. With its well-balanced flavors, consistently good food, and buzzing atmosphere, it’s definitely one of the go-to spots in Sukhumvit.”
“The food is so good! We ordered grilled chicken, papaya salad, chicken fried rice, sticky rice, and mango sticky rice. Everything was excellent, tasty, and felt like home-cooked food. The service was really good. They even refilled the herb basket for us. They also serve Beerlao, a gluten-free rice beer. We walked in with no issues. The restaurant and menus are a bit run-down, but that actually gives the place character.”
“Maybe one of the best Isan restaurants I've ever been to. The dishes were flavorful without being overwhelming. The somtam was just the right amount of salty, spicy, and sweet. The grilled fish was perfection. It was a bit crowded on a Thursday night, but that's to be expected. Would come back, maybe on less bury hours.”
“Baan E-Sarn Muangyos is a must-visit Isan restaurant in Sukhumvit 31. Flavor-packed dishes, fast service, great portions, and a wide variety of options—from som tum and larb to grilled meats and fried seafood. Don’t miss: Fried Chicken, Som Tum Thai, Larb Moo, Grilled Pork Neck, Blanched Cockles, Stir-fried Squid with Chili & Salt, Khanom Jeen, and Sticky Rice. It gets busy after work—but totally worth the wait! *Reservation can be done thru Que Q”
“This is my most favorite Isaan food in Bangkok. Hot pot and sausage is great. Very worm friendly people works here. The waitress remembers the costumers, so every time I come here I feel returning back in Bangkok. I always bring them my Japanese snacks to thank them.”
