What people say
“⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Recommended: Corn som tam, classic som tam, fried seabass, fried chicken wings, fried banana blossom, grilled chicken leg, grilled pork neck Not just foreigners but also a lot of locals come here. Overall, the food is consistently solid, not mind-blowing, but good enough that you can come here without worrying about making a bad choice. ✅The longan juice has a deep, honey-like sweetness. ✅As the name suggests, their som tam is always good no matter what you order. My personal favorite is the corn som tam. Unlike other places that usually serve large chunks of yellow corn, here you get both yellow and red corn kernels mixed together. The texture is pleasantly chewy, almost like glutinous corn. ✅The pomelo salad is also good. ✅The fried seabass that comes with the mango salad is a classic order when you’re here with a group. Not a must-eat dish, but it’s always crispy on the outside, tender inside, and consistently decent. ✅The fried chicken wings are a standard order here. ✅I tried fried banana blossom for the first time. it has a texture similar to onion rings, light and crispy, and surprisingly good. ✅We also tried a new menu item with rice flour and grilled pork, and that turned out to be a good choice. ✅The fried papaya is also really good. ✅Their classic grilled pork neck and grilled chicken leg are also always reliable and tasty.”
“Really had high expectations for this place, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite impress. Our steak was overcooked, and the rice noodles were overly sweet and lacking in depth. The best was the dessert 🥹🥹. We might give them another try with different dishes if we’re in the area again, but this visit was a bit of a letdown.”
“THE BEST! I am in love with their stir fried eggplants with basil leaves. Everything’s good here except the soup we ordered last night - maybe it is just not suitable for my palette. Other than that, everything is 200% perfect!!!”
“Love Baan somtum!!! Such a classic and go to option. Good price with decent portions and lots of variety on the menu for classic som tum style meal. Ordering home is equally as yummy as eating in store. Staff are good and attentive and service is very quick. Recommend for sure and will be back!”
“Im here almost every other day , its just 2 min from my house. If you want to try authentic thai cuisine with just a bit of fusion of other asian delicacy which are very close to thai food you must try this place. The food the staff , service everything is top notch. Sometimes it's too full at night. Best time is to fo for lunch”
