What people say

“Bancong was the perfect choice for our last day in Hanoi. We made a reservation because my husband wanted something romantic, and the staff truly surprised us — everything was beautifully arranged and exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was intimate and charming, the service was attentive and warm, and the whole experience felt very special. It was super awesome and such a memorable way to end our time in Hanoi. Highly recommended for a romantic evening or a special occasion 💕”
“Right in the heart of the Old Quarter, this balcony café is a perfect chill spot with a great street view. The drinks are delicious and well-made, whether you’re into coffee or refreshing beverages. The space is beautifully styled with plenty of photo-ready corners, and during holidays the decorations are especially eye-catching and festive. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. A lovely place to relax, take photos, and enjoy Hanoi’s vibrant vibe.”
“Most of the food were served with vegetables (made it healthier). The doneness of the meats were cooked to perfection 💯 The prices of the food were quite a bit expensive than what I expected. Havent tried their pastries and coffee tho. The ambiance of the place was very welcoming although during our visit there were quite a few renovations ongoing we werent able to take a pic on their iconic outdoor.”
“If you’re in Hanoi and looking for a truly memorable coffee experience, Bancông Cafe is an absolute must-visit. Tucked inside a charming old French villa in the heart of the Old Quarter, the café offers a beautiful blend of vintage elegance and relaxed ambiance. The iconic balcony seating, overlooking the bustling streets below, makes it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the city’s vibe. We opted for balcony twice. What really stands out here is their coconut coffee—arguably one of the best you’ll find in Vietnam. It’s creamy, perfectly balanced, and incredibly refreshing, especially after a long day exploring Hanoi. The café also serves a variety of traditional Vietnamese coffees but we liked the coconut coffee and we also ordered vegetarian (pumpkin) burger and to my surprise I loved it. Whether you’re stopping by for a quiet morning coffee or a relaxed evening with friends, this place offers a unique mix of great drinks, nostalgic charm, and a cozy atmosphere. It easily becomes a go-to café for anyone wanting to experience Hanoi’s rich coffee culture in style.”
“Nestled in the heart of the Old Quarter, this café’s facade immediately caught my eye with its Christmas vibes and faka snow — super nisuu! I ordered their egg coffee, and I can’t deny it was one of the best I’ve ever tried… and that’s coming from a non-coffee person. The ambience felt nostalgic and cozy, with a perfect view of Hanoi’slively, bustling roads. A lovely little spot to slow down and soak in the city.”
