“Probably one of the best cocktail bars in Bali. I had the BEST cocktails here: they are of reasonable price, unique and one of a kind, and really tasty. They have a nice ambience at the bar as well (kinda eerie but nice nonetheless). I would definitely go back to try another cocktails!”

“Finding BAR RASA is half the fun—it’s a true speakeasy that doesn't just use the name for marketing; it’s actually tucked away and requires a bit of an "insider" feel to locate. Once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. I was surprised to be greeted personally by the owner, and the team’s knowledge of the menu is impressive. The cocktails here are clearly a labor of love, drawing heavily on Indonesian culture and local ingredients. Instead of a standard Negroni, you get deep coconut notes from the island, and their spin on the Old Fashioned is one of the more interesting takes I’ve had lately. They can still whip up a flawless classic on request, too. Unexpectedly, the Nasi Goreng is a total standout and a must-try. The interior is filled with beautiful Indonesian craftwork, making it a great spot for actual conversation rather than just staring at a phone. If you want a bar with soul and substance, this is it. Highly recommended.”

“Absolutely loved this bar! The cocktails were incredibly delicious, and I loved that they use fresh, local Balinese ingredients — you can really taste the quality and creativity in every drink. The atmosphere was spot on, with beautiful décor that made the whole space feel both stylish and inviting. And the music? Perfect. They were playing tribal house all night, which set such a cool, vibrant vibe. Definitely a place I’d come back to!”

The drinks are absolutely phenomenal but the real draw card for this venue?...The staff. The team that work here are welcoming, kind and dedicated to their craft. “An incredibly thoughtful and well-executed cocktail experience. Bar Rasa in Bali is clearly built around flavor philosophy, not just drinks. I tried Sambal, Toya Ning, and Base Wangen, and each had a very distinct personality. Sambal was bold yet balanced — warming heat from sambal and galangal, layered with subtle sweetness from carrot, tomato, and mango. Vibrant and savory without being overpowering. Toya Ning was elegant and refreshing, with bright acidity from vodka, absinth, sherry wine, kaffir lime leaf, and citrus, softened beautifully by clarified milk for a smooth, silky finish. Base Wangen was my favorite — deep, comforting, and aromatic. The whiskey, peppercorn, oolong tea, ginger, and honey worked seamlessly, with the oolong tea espuma adding a gentle floral touch. Overall, the flavors are intentional, layered, and memorable. A bar that encourages you to slow down and really taste. A fantastic new addition to Bali — will definitely be back.”
