Cat Café Rescued cats

“We both were missing our cat back home so wanted to go see and pet some cats. But we are both very wary of cat cafes and tourist traps as well as the ethics involved. Delighted to say this is a real rescue run by amazing people. The place has been going for 25 years but they have only just raised the money for the cafe. It’s a pay what you can and it’s very simple drinks but we didn’t feel like having anything which was totally okay. We sat and pet the cats for a while which the cats loved, I felt they were really happy to have human contact and there was lots of room for them to get a break from people if they wanted. They ask that you make a donation to help with the essential care for the animals which we were more than happy to do. The only thing I would say is to get to the cafe you need to walk through the dog sanctuary first and the dogs love barking hahah. So just something to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise or have small children. But once you are in the cafe it’s very peaceful.”

“Certainly an interesting spot to check out. The drink options are limited/self service paid with donations but really the cats are the reason to come here and the cats are very friendly, sweet, and gentle. It’s worth checking out to see the cats & dogs here and good to know they are being taken care of well. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would recommend to any animal lover.”
