“We had such a fun and delicious evening at this izakaya! 😊 The atmosphere is lively and cheerful, the staff is wonderful and professional (the female bartender who served us was especially lovely), and the food is excellent and we tried quite a few dishes. The drinks were also very good. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but overall still great value for the experience. “Fatboy Izakaya (there are other locations throughout Bangkok) is an exciting twist on traditional Japanese izakaya (pub) food. My friend and I went there the other night as she enjoys their dishes, and decided to bring me along since I am a connoisseur of sorts of Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere and vibe is trendy and attractive, almost feels like the type of place where the “cool kids” go to hangout. Service was excellent and friendly, and the drinks were also very good. I thought most of the dishes were pretty good, and I am wary of fusion cuisine, but overall the execution is pretty good – although I find that some flavors worked better than others. It is a fun place to go after work or on a weekend, and the good combination of food, atmosphere, and service means I would go back again.”
