What people say

“The food here is amazing. We were wondering the sois near our hotel and avoiding the large, noisy and commercial restaurants for dinner when we came across this modest place tuck away from a busy junction. The food is really good and we ordered way too much for 2 person. The fish was done well and was really fresh. The service was warm and friendly as we have come to expect from the Thais but this feel more personalised to me. The food bill was modest and it was the highlight of our first dinner in Bangkok!”
“The food in Heng’s kitchen is tasty and delicious! The place has a rustic charm and sits tucked away in a quiet corner. At first, we were doubtful and thought no one would come to this quiet spot. Boy, were we wrong! There were already two tables filled with groups of 6–8 people each when we arrived. And shortly after we sat down, more customers walked in and filled the restaurant in no time. So don’t be fooled by its outward appearance like we were — it’s clearly a popular choice! We ordered Tom Yum Seafood Goong, crabs baked in glass noodles, grilled beef, and stir-fried kale with roasted pork. The glass noodles had just the right texture and flavor, but we wished the crabs were more meaty since there wasn’t much flesh to enjoy. The Tom yum goong was just right, not too spicy, not too coconutty. There was just a few pieces of kale in the plate of stir-fried kale. They could have provided a more generous portion. The grilled beef was yummy too, not tough, not overcooked. Our total bill was THB 895 plus an additional 3% credit card surcharge. The waitress was polite and made a great effort to communicate with us using Google Translate — clever and charming! We will definitely recommend this restaurant for a great Thai-Chinese meal!😊 The restaurant did not ask for our review but we willing gave it as we truly enjoyed their food. Thank you!”
“A nice around-the-corner seafood restaurant. Family style. Lots of options and varieties. Waiting time will be looong cause they start from scratch after you order. Flavors were good, fresh, true to the ingredients!”
“I could write a very long review about how delicious this family felt, food loving, restaurant…. the fresh seafood on site means your meals couldn’t be fresher, which is complimented extremely well by their use of spices, sauces, and aromatics. Highly recommend anyone looking for local thai food with a focus on seafood! i ordered the sea bass in sweet chili sauce which was unreal… fresh flaky, DELCIOUS sauce of spice and sweet, not oily at all! i combined the dish with an order of crab fried rice and while some might claim this an overly decadent move… the creamyness of the crab in the rice complimented the sweet spice of the flaky sea bass. Don’t be deterred!!!! this place is 10/10”
“Absolutely a gem tucked away off the Main Street. Great prices and fresh real Thai cuisine. Nan Jim seafood is the best sauce I’ve had in Thailand.”
