What people say

“We did the Hoi An Bike & Boat Tour with Countryside, Local Life & Home-cooked Lunch and it was an extraordinary way to experience real Hoi An. Joyful, authentic and unforgettable! Our guide, Hau, was absolutely outstanding. He spoke with such passion about his countryside and his community, and it was genuinely moving to hear how he shares tourism opportunities fairly among his neighbours so everyone benefits. His warmth, enthusiasm and deep local knowledge made the day feel incredibly personal and meaningful. Cycling through Hoi A was magical The contrast between riding through the lively bustle of the town and then drifting quietly through vast green rice paddies was extraordinary. Our first stop was Tra Que Vegetable Village, where we met the wonderful farmer Mr. Lan, whose joy was infectious. Watching him manually water his crops using traditional methods; feeding the fish lettuce so the water naturally fertilises the vegetables, was fascinating. Getting hands-on in the garden made us feel truly connected to local life. The water buffalo ride was enormous fun and something we’ll never forget. From there, we headed to Cam Thanh Coconut Village, where we drank fresh coconut water straight from the fruit and took a bamboo basket boat ride through the coconut forest. Catching crabs was brilliant fun, and our boat captain singing as we drifted down the river made the whole experience joyful and memorable. Lunch was a delicious and plentiful six-course home-cooked meal, far more than we expected and absolutely delicious; a real highlight of the day. The relaxed boat ride back to the city was the perfect way to end such a full, immersive experience. This tour is the perfect blend of culture, nature, fun and genuine human connection. If you want to truly understand local life in Hoi An rather than just see it, this is an absolute must-do experience. We loved every second!”
“Our trip around Da Nang was wonderful and educational. Even with a bit of rain, the views at the Lady Buddha were beautiful, and we spent the afternoon learning about local history at the Cham Museum and the Military Museum. We also enjoyed a stop at a bamboo product factory. Our guide, Ms. Hien (Lily), was exceptional. She was incredibly informative and took great care of us all day. Lunch was also provided and was absolutely delicious! We decided to skip the Han Market as it was a bit too crowded and headed back to the hotel early, but overall it was a perfect day. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to see the best of Da Nang!”
“Found their bicycle tour that included visiting the garden, water buffalo ride, and coconut boat ride. Our group of 7 booked easily on whatsapp for a next day tour that exceeded all our expectations. Andy or guide was friendly and kind. He safely guided us through traffic towards safer path and even offered me his bike when I got a flat. Highly recommend this company and tour!”
“I would highly recommend Hoian Day Trip Company to any tourist visiting Hoi An. This tour was perfectly planned and executed as per the information on their website. I was picked up at my hotel by my Tour guide Tam Le. Well versed in English with a vast knowledge of the Vietnamese History and culture. The tour included a visit to Tam Ky, a city to the south of Da Nang and Hoi An. Tam Thanh Mural Village was the first attraction. It’s the oldest mural village in Vietnam which has over 100 paintings drawn on the walls of local houses. After that we walked to the beach. The second attraction was the Vietnam’s Heroic Mother Statue, a huge memorial to honor all Vietnamese heroic mothers who had children fallen in the wars. At the Ky Anh Tunnels I was introduced Te our guide at the tunnels. He is a war veteran that joined the war in 1965 at the age of 10 digging the tunnels and shared stories about the secret tunnels, hiding places and stories about what happened in the village. Then we had lunch with Tam Ky chicken rice, the most famous local food in the city.”
“I highly recommend this company if you’d like to experience Hoi An! I had a private tour to the countryside, my guide had a great knowledge of Vietnam history, local traditions and culture, and he knew every plant at the Farmer’s village - what a pleasure! He also took a bunch of great photos during the trip, thank you. The trip included everything from the tour description.”
