What people say

“An amazing Omakase exeperience in a very cosy 10-seater place right in the heart of KL. The dishes were unique, fresh, prepared with care and bang for your buck especially their lunch. Their sushi rice is soaked in vinegar gviig you that burst of flavours when paired with their tuna. The chef was very interactive given that my friend was Japanese as well. They even provided a very nice complimentary birthday dessert that itself was vibrant. I loved the dessert right after their 14 courses of debauchery which helped balance everything. Extremely attentive staff with free valet parking!”
“Food : Portions were right & everything tasted fresh. A good place to bring your friends for Chef’s omakase if they’re coming from far as it is right smack in the city center. Brought my friend here for her birthday & pleasantly received a complimentary birthday dessert! Service : Food presentation could be better & should stick to the omakase theme; imo the chefs should tell us the thought process behind them combining certain ingredients / sequence of food being served / what I expect from the first bite or the aftertaste etc, instead of just handing a plate & saying “this is item A, this is item B, this is item C”. Appreciated the server who recommended us the Dassai 23 to pair with our meals otherwise. Atmosphere : A remarkable point that I love about Iki’s is that it’s intimate, quiet, & their space feels personal in the best way. However this time, one of the Chefs was drinking alcohol on the job & repeatedly asked a few guests what dishes has he served/not served them, which I thought wasn’t a good look. A group of guests were also under the influence hence both parties were interacting loudly with one another that it felt like an izakaya instead. It was so loud that other guests even had to tell the group to lower their volume which I appreciated, but since the chef was enabling it, we had no choice but to just get through dinner LOL. This was my second visit to Iki’s because I liked the food & atmosphere. While the food is still just as good, some degree of professionalism & class should still be upheld as it could quite make or break the experience, especially if this was their first time coming.”
“brought my husband to sunday omakase lunch he shared that the quality was the best and he is impressed by how knowledgeable the chef is with the pairings of flavors. thankful for the nice experience the food has left my husband. service needs to be improved. the servers were talking and laughing loudly behind us when we were eating. they only stopped after the chef threw them glances. same for my finished food. even the chef knew i was done but the servers were not very attentive to clear them”
“Top-tier food, every bite was amazing 🍣 Service was decent, nothing to complain about. The only downside was the environment: very noisy and not much privacy, which took away from the omakase experience. Still worth it for the food 👍”
“We enjoyed everything from start to the end. The reception staff, server to the chef, everyone was very meticulous and observant. The ambience was pleasant for us to have a quiet meal. Chef Marcus was friendly and made very nice courses for us. Was also told that they have a Yakitori branch which is open from 5pm onwards for dinner. Would definitely love to visit again whenever we come to KL!”
