What people say

“Humble eatery tucked away in a small alley off the main road, behind Carlton hotel. I had their Khao Soi which was flavourful and well-balanced. I did opt for the spiciest option but it wasn’t spicy enough for me 😅 Luckily they had a pot of chilli on the table which had quite a kick! If you’re an SG tourist best to bring cash for payment here as their PromptPay QR is linked to a local account so your PayNow/Paylah won’t work.”
“Great food. Lovely friendly people. Lots of menu options, many of which can be customised by noodle type / protein / veg etc. The restaurant is in their large house, with seating either on the verandah or in the dining room. Highly recommended.”
“Solid 7 out of 5 star food! I had the tasting platter and everything was absolutely delicious! Especially the Kao Soi as well as the Kaek Kee Kui stood out. Super delicious!”
“A hidden gem in the heart of Sukhumvit Bangkok! Amid all the high-rises and modern development, we discovered Kaek Kao Kua – a warm and soulful family-run plant-based eatery tucked away on Soi 27. Tanya, has opened her family home to serve comforting Thai dishes made with love. We tried the Tasting Platter – perfect for those who want to experience a bit of everything. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and available with gluten-free noodles (huge bonus!). We ended our meal with their creamy coconut ice cream topped with toasted peanuts – the perfect finish on a hot day! Authentic, heartfelt food and hospitality that stands out in the city. Highly recommend! @LiveLifeWellwithMichelle @LaPetiteFauxmagerie”
“This place is a nice escape from the city, while staying in the city. It’s literally a home that you eat at. I like it. I’m not vegan and so my judgement might be skewed but I’d definitely recommend this place and come back. We got Creamy Tom Yum and khao soi which were both good! The Tom Yum had a good sour taste and the Khao Soi was really creamy. I could see some people loving it and others being a little too rich but I thought it was good! Definitely give this spot a try! Always love supporting small businesses also. I’m strict with my grading so a four star is good for me and a place I’d come back too for sure!”
