What people say

“I recently dined at Kappo Takashi and was genuinely impressed. Every dish was beautifully balanced with incredibly fresh ingredients, and the chef’s attention to detail made each bite memorable. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, yet still feels truly premium. If you’re looking for authentic kappo-style Japanese cuisine made with care, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommended! 🤍✨”
“Great meal at Kappo Takashi! Takashi-san was very friendly and can speak a bit of Thai. The food was excellent. The presentation was great and we enjoyed seeing details about the ingredients. They even brought out a special dessert as it was my mother’s birthday 🎂”
“Fine quality ingredient with exceptional preparation. Highlights are on the fish dish and abalone. I don't love the beef dish that much, but its still good. Relaxing atmosphere and very attentive service. The downsides for me were; food is served at the same time for all the guests in the restaurant so u might have to wait if other guests are late. There is no available sake or wine by the glass, but it is understandable since very few number of guests per night.”
“The place is intimate, with Chef Takashi Sasaki with 17+ years experience from Osaka, Kyoto, and Iwate, meticulously preparing the 9-course meal that feels fun and authentic at the same time. What stood out to me was how everything — from Madai and Mitsu Maguro to Uni, Ise Ebi, Amadai, Awabi & Hokkigai, Wagyu, Omakase Gohan, and Sake Cheesecake — was perfectly on point — the freshness, the texture, the temperature. The portions are huge, and the ingredients are top-tier.”
“Kappo Takashi is a hidden gem on Sukhumvit 38 — an intimate Japanese kappo dining experience led by Chef Takashi Sasaki, who brings over 17 years of experience from Osaka, Kyoto, and Iwate to Bangkok. The 9-course menu is a masterclass in Japanese culinary craft: precise, seasonal, and full of personality. Highlights include the exceptional fish and abalone dishes — every ingredient is of the finest quality and treated with reverence. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, and Chef Takashi's warmth and passion make the evening feel genuinely special. With only a handful of reviews, this is still Bangkok's best-kept secret. A perfect 5 stars — this is world-class Japanese dining that deserves far more attention. Highly recommended for those who appreciate the art of true kappo cuisine.”
