Koh Tao Buffet BBQ

“If u are hungry after a long day of diving or exploring u seriously need to come to Koh Tao Buffet. Its such a cool experience especially with a group of friends. Its basically all u can eat mookata where u grill your own meat and veggies at the table and they have a massive selection of stuff to pick from. The seafood was surprisingly fresh for a buffet and they have tons of different marinated pork and chicken too. I really liked the spicy dipping sauces they have... gave it a great kick! Its not a fancy place and it can get pretty hot and smoky inside with all the grills going at once but the staff are actually really on it... they brought over fans for us to keep the air moving which made it way more comfortable while we were cooking. The price is super cheap considering u can eat as much as u want and they even have some cooked dishes like fried rice and ice cream for dessert. The staff were also really quick to change the charcoal when our grill started to get low. Just a heads up u should probably wear clothes u dont mind smelling like BBQ afterwards but honestly it was 100% worth it. Such a vibe and definitely one of the best value meals we found on the island. Will be back for sure!!”

“I had a very bad experience at this buffet restaurant and it even affected my health. The meat looked like it had been stored for several days, and the seafood and shrimp had a noticeable bad smell. When I informed one of the female staff members, she responded very rudely. Later, a man who seemed to be the owner came to my table and spoke to me in an aggressive and angry manner. About two hours after returning home, I started experiencing severe stomach pain and had to go to the hospital that same night. According to the medical report, I was diagnosed with a bacterial infection in my intestinal tract. The food was clearly not fresh, and it seemed like chemicals might have been used to make it appear fresh. This was extremely disappointing and concerning. I am sharing this review to warn others so they do not experience the same situation.”

“Great variety of meat and vegetables, incredible how much you’re able to eat for the cost. Especially on Koh tao, felt like I ate a small farms worth of meat. Some of the quality of food weren’t the absolute best but it’s far more than what you pay for. The whole set up has such a good vibe, definitely feels more like a local spot. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend!”
