“Magari de Sushiya Kazu is a small low key hidden spot— 🤤🍣 but the quality is anything but ordinary what I love most is the “ intention” behind every single piece. Each sushi is crafted one by one right in front of you, and you can truly feel how everything has been carefully thought through from the temperature of the rice, to the balance of the fish, to the timing of each course. Every bite that wowed me: ✔️The fish is incredibly fresh—sweet delicate and melts in your mouth ✔️The shari (rice) is lightly seasoned, never overpowering, but perfectly elevates the fish ✔️Some pieces have subtle creative twists that keep things interesting while still respecting tradition Service: Warm, friendly, and charming, yet still professional. I wouldn’t consider it omakase-level dining — it feels more like a casual sushi or izakaya-style spot. They have a nice range of maguro cuts (around six or more types), which is great if you enjoy tuna. There were also quite a few seasonal specials available when I visited, including items like firefly squid. Overall the quality is mid-range, but that’s reflected in the pricing. My favorite dishes were the ankimo with ponzu sauce and the oysters.”
