What people say

“I took the heated cooking class with Made at Moksa and it was truly fabulous. The location is a hidden gem in Ubud. It’s set within a stunning, lush permaculture garden that is incredibly peaceful and tranquil. Cooking in such a serene, green environment added a whole new level of relaxation to the experience. It is the perfect escape into nature. Chef Made is remarkably patient and skilled, sharing deep insights from his many years of expertise. We prepared a wide variety of vegan recipes, and the absolute highlight was enjoying the delicious feast at the end. This is a perfect activity that I would highly recommend to everyone visiting Bali.”
“The food you get here is unparalleled. My husband and I both agreed that Moksa was the best restaurant we’ve ever dined at. We had both dinner and lunch here, and the taste and quality were out of this world. The vegetables are incredibly fresh, and every dish challenges your taste buds in the best way possible, with so many flavours and elements coming together beautifully. The coconut bread was a savoury bite we’ll never forget. Thank you for this wonderful experience, for explaining everything in such detail, and for making our anniversary dinner all the more special!”
“There are a lot of vegan cafes in Ubud, but Moksa is extra special! It’s tucked away in nature and each dish is made with the utmost care and love. I came for Moksa the first time on my own and loved it so much I brought my friends back with me. The thought of going back home and not having access to this delicious and vibrant food made me sign up for the cooking class with Chef Made himself! I was so excited to learn that he would be teaching us the classes! He truly is a legend and one of the vegan chef pioneers. I have so much respect for him and the love he and his staff put into every bite we get to enjoy. There is also a local farmers market on Tuesdays and Saturdays which was so lovely as well!”
“The food and whole experience was the most amazing time. This has to be one of the best Vegan restaurants in the world. The road is narrow however the locals know it well. The price for a 3 course meal for 2 was less than $50 Australian. My second visit and wont be my last.”
“In my opinion, Moksa is one of the best restaurants in Ubud. The setting alone is worth a visit, since it is surrounded by greenery and rice fields. The food itself is simply incredible! Everything is plant-based and made with fresh ingredients from their own garden. We asked the main chef for his personal recommendation, and he warmly recommended us the Balinese Rijstafel and the Moksa Sampler. All the various plant-based dishes were extraordinary and an absolute must-try! The dishes were beautifully presented, and the menu was very creative with countless options. If you are looking for a unique and calm dining experience, I can only recommend Moksa!”
