“We wanted to grab lunch before heading back to the hotel on the BTS and happened to see this restaurant right next to where we were having coffee. The menu seemed to have everything we liked to eat so we gave it a shot and were not disappointed at all. It turned out to be a really good unexpected find. The food was consistently good across the board. We really enjoyed the Som Tam Corn with Salted Egg and the Grilled Pork Neck. The Stir Fried Minced Pork Basil on Rice with a Fried Egg was also very well done and hit the spot. Everything felt fresh and flavorful. Overall this is a great location for a quick meal to recharge before continuing your day. It is convenient and the quality is reliable enough to make it a worthwhile stop if you are in the area.”

I prefer the time of the slow monk drum. lol Btw there is an upstairs as well Can’t wait Large portions - soup meaty flavour very good and included some liver as a treat”

“Not a big fan of wagyu beef boat noodle although this luxurious variant of boat noodle has gained its popularity in recent years. I think the wagyu here is decently good, also the kurobutan. Noodle here comes with decent portion. Also sufficient veggie in the bowl. I really love the soup and I prefer this shop to Thong Smith. Krapow here is also satisfying but there is room for improvement. Firstly the fried egg, I’d like it more crispy on the outside. Then the rice, it’s excessively moist.”

“Love the boat noodle! We had premium beef soup flat noodle and premium pork soup glass noodle. They were both fantastic, soup not too strong so you can and not spicy. We forgot to ask for less spicy for the salad, so it was hot!!! Fun fact: you were given a piece of paper to write down your order, if you are not hungry, why not try and write in Thai 😀”

“Na Ploenchit sits in Mahatun Plaza like that friend who looks great on paper but lacks spark (3.5/5). It's convenient, air-conditioned, and three minutes from BTS Ploenchit. Perfect for post-shopping comfort without melting in Bangkok's humidity. At THB 150-300 per bowl, you're paying Ploenchit prices for comfort food. The portions are generous. They don't skimp on noodles or toppings. Your wallet might whimper, but your stomach won't complain. Here's where the boat springs a leak. The broth delivers all the complexity of a one-hit wonder from the 90s. It's rich but monotone and repetitive. Where legendary spots like Peninsula's create broths that tell stories, Na Ploenchit's version feels behind. Thongsmith also offers slightly more despite it being tourist heavy. The herbs don't contribute about as much flavor. They should be adding aromatic punch, more dynamic flavor. Instead, they're just pretty garnish sitting there looking lost. You'll leave satisfied but not smitten. Full but not fulfilled. Na Ploenchit serves perfectly adequate boat noodles in a world that desperately needs more soul-stirring bowls. Its a solid choice for office workers and locals, but it wouldn't make it to my top recommended noodles for international guests and tourists.”
