What people say
“Back in Thailand for our honeymoon, and on the very first day we decided to try Khao Soi. We ordered the chicken version, and it was much better than I expected. I had assumed it would be overwhelmingly spicy, but instead it had a rich, balanced flavor with a creamy curry base and just the right amount of heat. It’s probably not something I would eat every day, but it’s definitely a dish worth trying at least once. A pleasant surprise and a great start to our trip! 🍜”
“Simple menu of food choice. They are fame for their Kao Soi dishes. U can have option of meat ( pork - chicken - beef ). The curry flavor is made just nice. Is not empowering in the spice. Their Fermented pork stir fry with eggs is just as good as a side dish.”
“A Khao-soi place with wide selections of Northern Thai dishes. The beef in Khao-Soi is surprisingly tender. Starters like pork Satay and Poo-ong (savory crab roe paste) with sticky rice are delicious too. Prices are on the higher side but the foods are worth it.”
“It’s a rather obscure shop front on a rather busy pavement. Easy to miss it if you are not paying attention. The ground floor has limited dining space so we dined up on the 2nd floor. Be prepared for a steep climb. I found the noodles just OK. Maybe not too special. But we liked the sausages, though. They go very well with the green chilli paste and boiled veggies.”
“Ongtong Dried Khao Soi is a refreshing twist on the classic Northern Thai comfort food. Instead of the usual soup, they serve it dry, letting the rich curry sauce coat the noodles perfectly. The flavor is bold, creamy, and aromatic—very “khao soi” but more intense because nothing is diluted by broth. The star is the crispy noodle topping—super crunchy and generous—paired with tender chicken that’s well-seasoned and juicy. Mix everything together with the pickled greens, red onion, and a squeeze of lime, and you get a perfect balance of savory, creamy, tangy, and crunchy in every bite. The place feels casual and local, making it a great spot for both first-timers and khao soi lovers looking for something different.”
