What people say

“We stopped at this small market when we were hungry between meals and it was perfect for a quick bite. It’s not a big or fancy place, but it’s full of small food stalls with plenty of cheap and tasty options. We tried the sushi, which was surprisingly fresh and really good – only 20 THB per piece, which is such great value. The market is simple but practical, and you can easily find different snacks without spending much. Around the market there are also some small shops, so it’s nice to walk around a little after eating. Very affordable and worth checking out if you’re nearby.”
“We loved this food market! The prices are low and fair, the food was delicious and it invites you to try a bit of everything and enjoy an evening there. We did not think it was too full, crowded or touristic, there were also some locals buying their food there.”
“Pantip Market in Koh Phangan is a street-food paradise with an impressive variety of individual stalls—think Thai curries, noodles, grilled meats, desserts, and even sushi. I’m reviewing only the outdoor street vendors, not the indoor food-court/mart section. Variety: Undeniably huge—something for every craving, from local specialties to international bites. Freshness caution: Some seafood, especially raw items like salmon sushi, may sit out for hours. Choose carefully and stick to stalls that cook to order if you’re concerned about food safety. Clothing market hours: The adjacent clothes stalls wrap up early—usually around 6:30–7:00 pm—so shop before dinner if you want to browse fashion. Massage - Go visit Kanda Massage. Tell them about this problem before the session starts Overall, Pantip Market is perfect for an evening food crawl if you arrive early, pick wisely, and watch the freshness of raw seafood. A must-visit for variety and atmosphere on Koh Phangan.”
“A great place to eat local Thai food. Prices are very convenient and quality is good. Tom Kha or Tom Yam soup 100 baht. Same proce for many other Thai food dishes. Mango with sticky rice 60 bath. Any main course such as Pad Thai or Massaman 100 baht. Fruit juices for 50-60 baht. It’s a place not only for tourists since many locals come here to buy their food or eat in. Great atmosphere at night.”
“Best dish we tried: fried rice salad + the corn with cornflakes and granola is out of this world - (Find this lady from my pictures!) Overall… an absolute must-try if you come to Koh Pah Ngan. Some days we even came here 3 times because everything was just that good. Other good stuff; chicken satay, Mango sticky rice, smoothies, pad thai, sushi, and desserts were all amazing. Don’t skip it.”
