What people say

“I was completely blown away by the ramen here! It was so good that I actually came back two days in a row. The moment I stepped inside, the staff greeted me with such high energy and enthusiasm that I felt like I had instantly been transported to Japan. They were very helpful in guiding me to my seat and explaining the ordering process clearly. As a solo traveler, I found the counter-style seating very comfortable and welcoming. One of the best features is that you can fully customize your ramen to suit your personal taste. My bowl was absolutely perfect, and I enjoyed every single bite. This is hands-down the best ramen I've had in Vietnam. I will definitely make this a priority stop on my next trip back to Ho Chi Minh City. Highly recommended for any ramen lover!”
“The flavor is pretty good overall. I really like the thick noodles, especially the 濃厚背脂らーめん — the soup is rich and a bit fatty, but not heavy or greasy. One standout point is how flexible the restaurant is: customers can choose the type of noodles, flavor intensity, toppings, and even herbs to suit their own taste. The staff are friendly, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which makes the whole experience even better.”
“Cute little ramen spot in an alley in Japantown Saigon. Got the tonkatsu with karaage set with a coke zero. Ramen was fresh, silky and soft with the soup being warm and hearty. The chicken pieces were huge and I couldn't finish.”
“Danbo Ramen in Ho Chi Minh City continues to be one of the closest experiences to authentic Japanese ramen that I’ve had outside of Japan—aside from Ippudo. We’ve eaten here many times, and the quality has been consistently excellent. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked with the right texture, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. In fact, after a very unsatisfying dinner at Kushi Katsu Ebisu Shoten earlier in the evening, we decided to have a second dinner at Danbo Ramen instead. It completely salvaged our night. The moment the bowls arrived, we were reminded why we keep coming back—reliable, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Danbo Ramen remains a top choice for anyone craving true Japanese ramen in Ho Chi Minh City.”
“- We were quite looking forward to this ramen meal, as I had to fly 1,000km just to find a place that serves ramen and carefully chose among many options. It was a bit hard to find, tucked away in the famous Japanese alley in Saigon. It's small and crowded. The staff were very enthusiastic, and the food was served quickly. Overall, the ramen didn't quite meet my expectations as it still wasn't the flavor I was looking for. It's not that it wasn't good — just not exceptional for me. However, the dumplings were very tasty”
