What people say

“Food & Menu Truly enjoyed the fusion menu selection. For my first visit, I decided to order some of their signature dishes, assuming they would be a safe choice, and they certainly did not disappoint. The Mushroom Truffle Risotto was the standout dish and delivered a real wow factor. Reservation Experience I was fortunate enough to walk in and secure a table for two during a weekend dinner service. However, I found the reservation policy somewhat inconsistent. When I previously contacted the restaurant to enquire, I was informed that reservations were required, which made the successful walk-in experience a little confusing. Service Service could be improved despite the busy weekend crowd. We were attended by an Indian lady and an Indian gentleman. At one point, we overheard the lady speaking very loudly toward the kitchen, which was rather distracting. The server was also quite expressionless when taking our order, with little warmth in the interaction. Attention to Details When we requested drinking water, a follow-up reminder was needed even though it was a simple request that could have been fulfilled within a few minutes. Small touches like these can make a noticeable difference to the overall dining experience. Overall The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the visit, especially the Mushroom Truffle Risotto. With more attentive and welcoming service, the overall experience would have matched the quality of the cuisine.”
“Visited Roots Bangsar recently and the food was honestly very good for plant based cuisine. The dishes were creative, nicely presented and flavours were on point. Atmosphere was cozy and modern too, can understand why so many people recommend this place. Only downside was near closing time around 10pm, we felt a bit rushed as staff started packing up early and slowly giving signals for us to leave. Sadly have to take away our Tiramisu cake as we don't have the extra time to eat. Would have appreciated a more relaxed dining experience.”
“Roots Bangsar is a cafe-style vegetarian spot with an atas vibe and beautiful interior design. The ambience here is cozy yet classy, perfect for chilling over good food and coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, all neatly dressed and very presentable, which really adds to the overall dining experience. Their Trio Plant Based Meat is the chef’s recommendation, and honestly, it might just be the best vegetarian roasted pork rice I’ve ever had. The texture is surprisingly good, flavourful and satisfying even for non-vegetarian diners. The Vegan Plant Based Meat Angel Hair was another dish that impressed us. Light, tasty and well-balanced, definitely something I would order again. Another must-try here is the Signature Laksa Angel Hair. The curry broth is thick, creamy and packed with flavour, pairing perfectly with the angel hair pasta. It’s rich without being too overwhelming. Roots Bangsar is easily one of the best vegetarian restaurants in town. Great food, nice coffee, comfortable atmosphere, and definitely a good place for friends gathering, coffee dates and long chit-chat sessions.”
“Had a wonderful experience at Roots Bangsar. It’s a pure vegetarian restaurant that really stands out for its variety and vibrant atmosphere. The staff are extremely energetic and friendly, which makes the whole dining experience feel warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The place is also wheelchair-friendly and very suitable for families with children, so it works well for all kinds of diners. One of the best things here is the wide range of cuisines — you can enjoy everything from Italian and Thai to Indian, along with creative fusion dishes all under one roof. It’s quite rare to find such diversity done well in a single vegetarian restaurant. Pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. You definitely get good value for money. If you plan to visit often, it’s worth becoming a member to enjoy additional perks. A small tip — parking in the area is quite difficult, with mostly street paid parking available, so it’s better to come by public transport if possible. Overall, a great spot for vegetarian food lovers looking for variety, good portions, and a lively dining experience. 🌱”
“Had a quick lunch here. The ayam gerpuk dish was yummy and big portion. We chose medium spicy level but I could’ve gone for the higher/spicier one. We also ordered the Thai green curry, it was alright, it tasted too much of the coconut milk and not enough of the ‘curry’ if that makes sense. Would come back to try other things”
