What people say

“Runway Market is a great place for shopping and food lovers, conveniently located just opposite the Alcazar Show complex in Pattaya. The market offers a lively atmosphere with a variety of street food stalls, local snacks, seafood, souvenirs, clothing, and other shopping options. One of the main attractions is the beautiful aircraft model displayed at the market, which serves as a popular photo spot for visitors. For those looking to try something unique, stalls offering grilled crocodile and other exotic foods add to the experience. The market is especially enjoyable in the evening, with plenty of food choices, reasonable prices, and a vibrant local vibe. Overall, it is a worthwhile stop for anyone looking to enjoy shopping, street food, and some memorable photos while in Pattaya.”
“The Runway Market offers a wide variety of street food options along with numerous small shops, making it a great place to explore local culture and food habits. It’s best to take a full walk around first before deciding where to eat, as there are many choices and quality can vary. The food is generally affordable and looks appealing, but it’s important to be cautious when selecting where to eat. Unfortunately, I experienced some stomach issues the next day, so I would recommend choosing vendors that appear clean and well-maintained. That said, it’s a lively and enjoyable spot, especially after attending the Alcazar Show. Overall, the Runway Market is a fun place to hang out in the evening, and I would still recommend it to tourists looking for a local street market experience.”
“Runway Market, located directly opposite the famous Alcazar Show, is one of the most vibrant and unique night markets in the area. What immediately sets it apart is its distinctive centerpiece—an old airplane positioned right in the middle of the market, giving it its memorable name. This quirky landmark adds character and makes the market feel unlike any other. The food section is the highlight here, offering an impressive variety of stalls. You’ll find everything from classic Thai favorites like mango sticky rice, pad Thai, and spicy curries to refreshing smoothies, coconuts, cold beer, and sizzling BBQ meats. The sheer diversity of options ensures that there’s something for every palate, whether you’re craving sweet, savory, or spicy. Prices are very reasonable, making it easy to sample multiple dishes without overspending. Beyond the food, the market also has a dedicated section for shopping. Stalls selling clothes, jewelry, and accessories line the area, giving visitors the chance to browse for souvenirs or trendy finds while enjoying the lively atmosphere. The market is well-organized and clean, with plenty of seating available. Rows of chairs and tables are set up so you can comfortably enjoy your meal, and large screen televisions add to the entertainment by broadcasting games, creating a social and energetic vibe. What makes Runway Market truly special is the balance it strikes between being a bustling hotspot and maintaining a welcoming, enjoyable environment. It’s popular and often crowded, but the atmosphere is festive rather than overwhelming. Whether you’re there for the food, the shopping, or simply to soak in the ambiance, it delivers a memorable experience. In short, Runway Market is a must-visit destination. Affordable, authentic, and full of character, it’s the perfect place to spend an evening indulging in Thai street food and enjoying the lively night market culture. If you’re a food lover, this market is a 100% go—you’ll leave satisfied and eager to return.”
“very windy even at 430pm. most food outlets are opened. one of the stalls selling rice noodles with chicken very delicious. they clean the wok after frying every dish (no leftover spicyiness). very friendly staff....”
“Great night market with a large selection of Vendors selling everything from fruits and vegetables to prepared meals and exotic foods (crocodile, insects). Several clothing Vendors at one end of the market. Easy to recognize as the 'Runway Market', as there is a decommissioned 747 in the middle, and Pattaya's new lighted ferris wheel. Food is delicious throughout the market with great variety.”
