What people say

“Saengchai Phochana is a legendary boiled rice (Khao Tom) restaurant that has stood the test of time, maintaining its reputation from the past to the present with its mastery of both Thai and Chinese-style cuisine. Quick Highlights Operating Hours: Open until 2:00 AM, making it a perfect spot for late-night diners. Parking: On-street parking is available along the main road. The Food: They offer a variety of made-to-order dishes that are served hot and incredibly fast. The flavors are bold, authentic, and reasonably priced. The Vibe: It gets very crowded late at night. If you're lucky, you'll snag a seat in the air-conditioned section”
“Every time I pass through Thonglor, I always stop by this place 😊 Late-night Thai rice porridge spot with consistently delicious food. The restaurant has expanded and feels more comfortable now. Parking is available on the street (check the signs), or you can park at Soi 47. If coming by BTS Skytrain, get off at Thonglor station, just a short walk. Taking a Grab is even more convenient. A go-to spot with reliable quality. Highly recommended 👍”
“One of the best meal i've had in BKK. We're a group of 4 and the total bill only 1320 baht. The price are so reasonable comparing to the quality and portion of the dishes. Oh we love the crab dish so much! We ask for little spicy and the food came out so so perfectly tasty & spicy the way made us wow !!!”
“See this places publicised all over social media so went to try their signature items. This is probably best described as fusion Teochew-Thai style food. I ordered the pork mince and innards plum soup, fried pork mince with black olives, bitter melon leaves with oyster sauce, mushrooms and chili, and a black pepper crab meat stir fry. Overall impression - overrated. Taste for all items were overpowering- very salty or too sour. Did not manage to finish any item due to this. Not impossible to eat without pairing with rice or porridge. Was frankly disappointed that it was so highly rated. Price point was very reasonable.”
“By far my worst experience ever eating in Bangkok. I’ve been here for 10 years. In all fans to them I did eat there on some Crane. But that shouldn’t be an excuse. It took one hour to be seated. By time we ordered we waited another 40 minutes before they came back and told us that three of the four dishes we had ordered had sold out. They then bought a dish to our table – I had ordered pork and prawns – they decided to just bring some pork because they didn’t have any prawns left. We ordered some fried chicken and that came but was oily as anything! Very small portion – presumably they had also sold out of that and had split our portion with somebody else. I have seen this place being very busy whenever I walked past it thought I’d give it a chance – very much regret it. Chaotic is a word I’ve seen on a lot of the reviews – but this was something else! Really needs to be avoided! Still had the cheek to end up charging us full price even though he’d only given us half our meals! Will definitely be trying elsewhere for late night Aeats in the area, there are enough of them.”
