“Disappointing. We decided to try Salt after seeing good reviews, and at first impression, the place really delivers on ambiance. The setting is beautiful, with a nice atmosphere and even an ocean view, which makes it feel like a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The service was quite disappointing. The staff were polite and smiled, but there was a clear communication barrier as they couldn’t really speak English, which made things difficult. More importantly, the order of service was completely off. One main dish arrived first, then the second main dish came later, and only after that did the starter arrive - despite us pointing it out to the waiter. Nothing was corrected; we were simply met with smiles, no proper apologies or fix. What made it more frustrating is that the starter was just edamame, something that is typically very quick and easy to serve. By the time it arrived, we had our main courses in front of us, so we didn’t really enjoy it, yet it was still fully charged, with no acknowledgment or apology from the staff. As for the food, the pasta was particularly disappointing, very bland and lacking flavor. To make matters worse, the prices are quite high for what is delivered, which makes the overall experience feel overpriced. Overall, while the location and atmosphere are lovely, the service, food quality, and value for money need significant improvement to match the setting. A place we would not go back.”

“I’m giving this 4 stars because the food is absolutely delicious and the service was excellent! The only downside for me was the location. It is a bit of a walk from the sea, and there is a cheap street market set up right in front of the entrance. Unfortunately, it ruins the 'vibe' of the place a little bit and makes it feel less like a premium dining spot.”

“Service was great, food was just ok. Sashimi was cut thick and breaking apart. Baracuda ceviche was bland. White snapper was just ok. Nothing stood out except the 1400 bill. Edit for the restaurants response. Yes, I said everything was ok. Just like I said the food was just ok. How do I address bland food? Tell the waiter to send it back and make it tastier?”

“Just wow! We tried several dishes and drinks and everything was absolutely great. Beautiful atmosphere, great service and succulent food.”

“It’s all five star, but the service was 5+. We got off the ferry with no plans, except to serendipitously experience the island (knowing that it was NYE and that everything was going to be booked). Our server Phyo hooked us up - was probably a fixer in a previous life. Did I mention the food was fantastic? Plus a beautiful view of the sunset off the beach. Definitely a luxury spot, but worth the extra money.”
