“We originally planned to eat at Tana after our visit to Wat Pho, but since they were unexpectedly closed, we ended up discovering this restaurant just a few blocks away. Seeing that it was listed in the Michelin Guide, we decided to give it a try. There were only two of us, so we opted to sit at one of the open tables. The ambience was pleasant overall. Maybe I’m just used to Central Bangkok prices, but I found their menu to be slightly on the expensive side, if I’m being honest. It was my first time trying Isan food, and overall the flavors were decent. We ordered the Kao Kaprai Kao Dao, slightly salty for our taste, but pairing it with rice balances it out well. You can also request adjustments to the spiciness, and the staff is more than happy to accommodate. Their Pad Mee Hang Nuea Lai and Pad Mee Isan were also quite good. For drinks, we tried the Calamansi Thai Iced Tea and the sparkling calamansi. Both were refreshing, but the calamansi flavor was a bit too overpowering, which made it a little hard to fully enjoy. Overall, though, the restaurant is still a good spot and worth trying, especially if you’re exploring the area and want to experience Isan cuisine.”

“I tried a traditional Thai dessert called “lod chong” here, and it was really refreshing. The coconut milk was rich and creamy, and the pandan noodles were soft and fragrant. The service was very good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The location is also convenient and easy to find. Overall, a great place to enjoy authentic Thai food and desserts. I would definitely come back again!”

“Ordered the Tomyum kung in medium spicy, good taste and good seasoning also generous in 4 big prawn and varieties of mushrooms. What slightly down is the soup came in warm instead of piping hot, no bubbling hot on the photo as you can see or as how a hot soup should be. Overall it’s good! Second the garlic fried chicken, also came in as the same issue which is not hot. Might be pre-fried, but I assume they did not re-fried it so it came out less warm. But instead of all that, it should freshly fried when order came in. Both dishes can be better.”

“This small unassuming shop packs a delicious punch with every dish! Of course we got the Thai Tum (original papaya salad) of which they have many varieties. We also added the pad thai with river prawn the tom kha and the fried beef with two drinks. The Somtum had just the right amount of spice without being overpowering but there was something else in their sauce that made it unique. Not sure if it was tamarind but I found myself licking the spoon! The tom kha was really savory and a hint of sweet and the Pad Thai was solid, nothing different but still delicious. Also if you order the Somtum promotion and take a picture for the gram you get a tshirt, so now not only do we have delicious memories but we actually have a souvenir from this iconic restaurant in Bangkok!”

“I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I was especially impressed by their excellent English, which made ordering so much easier. The interior is beautifully designed, creating a really relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Plus, the location is very convenient and easy to find. Highly recommended!”
