What people say
“If you are staying in the area and don't want to drive to the other side of the island for the Thongsala Pier market, you don't have to. Just come here instead. You will be able to experience it all - the food, the people, the smells, the lack of parking space 😅”
“As the name suggests, it’s only open on Sunday and was glad to be around to visit this place. Mostly has local Thai food with some western food, desserts and Indian food scattered around. The seating space extends towards a bridge/pier area overlooking Chaloklum Bay. Perfect place to soak in the sights of the bay accompanied by a gentle breeze while you munch on some really good food! This is a must visit if you happen to be in the area. We tried the crispy rice salad, grilled salted fish and pork vermicelli skewers. All of them tasted absolutely delicious! Prices were all cheap as well. We were there around 4:30 PM and able to browse the stalls calmly. Two or three stalls were not open until 5:00 PM. After 6:30 PM this place gets really packed and feels like the entire island was there as we saw the street to the night market and adjacent main street packed with scooters and cars. So 4:30-5:30 PM seems like the sweet spot to visit, find a parking spot (scooters can park just on the street leading to the market) and grab your food!”
“Even though I didn't end up buying anything, wandering through the market was such a vibe. Lots of locals selling all kinds of street food and treats. They’ve also got clothes, sunnies, and all the usual touristy stuff. The market has direct access to the beach, so you can just grab some snacks and head to the sand to enjoy them”
“Nice market with lots local food and you can eating and relaxing at the pier to enjoy the sunset time”
“Small local Sunday night market with variety of food on offer. Such a relaxed vibe for both locals and tourists. The market is located by the pier, where everyone then hangs out, eating their food and drinking their beers. 😎 Ate the best crispy chocolate, banana and peanut butter pancake ever!! 😁”
