What people say
“VERY authentic Thai restaurant not too far from the boxing stadium. It’s always really busy with locals and Westerners. Extensive menu with do many choices. Service is excellent and the food is brilliant and arrives quickly. It’s amazing value for money. We had a prawn dish with rice and a half toast chicken straight of the bbq and chopped. Both fishes were amazing. Whole fish on the bbq looked incredible too. Highly recommended if you want proper delicious Thai food.”
“Very local and very awesome. The chicken was perfectly cooked. Got the duck salad, a full grilled chicken and papaya salad. Apparently, the locals think the papaya salad is very good there and unique, I agree. I was very surprised how inexpensive it was, but you’re going to have to us cash. This is the kind of local place that you could have lunch there every day and not feel disappointed. The menu is expensive and I’ve put the QR code in the photos so that you can see it for yourself.”
“legendary stop in koh samui. best food for the best prices. whole grilled fish is insane as well as thai classics like papaya salad and pad see ew. Service is super attentive and kind. put it on your list”
“A fabulous array of genuine Thai dishes predominantly Issan dishes in origin. Fabulous mixture of textures and flavours and range of spicy level on request. Very helpful friendly staff if you are a newby to Thailand.”
“Our experience at Tai Kik felt very authentic and I highly reccomend it There are many tables, so there was no line Foodwise- we ordered Papaya salad with fermented fish and Catfish salad for appetizers - both had great seasoned flavours, although we would have ordered the Papaya salad without fermented fish next time (exists in the menu). For main courses we ordered a Tum Yam soup and grilled fish (which came with lettuce and nodles to make wraps). Fish was amazing and soup was great but a bit too spicy for us (we asked for little spicy). One thing to keep in mind when planning your visit - the area isn't so pleasant to walk around at night, so consider a taxi”
