What people say
“The Crowd: Because it only operates once a week on Wednesday evenings, the volume of people is massive. It gets tightly packed very quickly, making it a frustrating and sweaty experience just trying to walk from stall to stall. The Food: For a market of this scale, the culinary variety is surprisingly disappointing. The food stalls are repetitive, with the same standard street snacks appearing every few meters. Verdict: There is nothing spectacular or distinct here that you can't find at smaller, more comfortable markets around the city. It's difficult to enjoy the experience when you are constantly bumping shoulders just to look at identical food options.”
“This market is only open one day a week. It's extremely long, but the path is easy to follow. I've been to many night markets and food markets but this particular location had a very foul smell that came in waves. It was almost unbearable. I kept trying to pin point where it was coming from but was left dumbfounded. The majority of the food is Chinese. They also have vendors selling just fruit or drinks. Some even have items for your pets or are doing tarot readings. Give yourself 2-4 hours here. There's a lot to see and try here.”
“Basically yes they are consider the longest and might be the biggest pasar malam in Malaysia but maybe the organiser need to rearrange the stalls for better walkway, traffic distribution as it was back to back human traffic and too crowded. Anyway, yeah there is plenty of food stalls with cooking creativity and types which showcases the Malaysian ways of foods...”
“Checking this place because suggestion come from a trusted website that i usually use.. It was very very very crowded, full of people with a very narrow alley, two way people back and forth plus some people queue on some stand.. Enjoy the many selection of street snack, but don't think will come back again if only want to enjoy food.”
“If you’re in KL on a Wednesday definitely head here! A busy atmosphere and great prices. So many food stalls with some clothing and accessories stalls too. (Only thing is I felt there wasn’t a lot of vegetarian options)”
