“My recent visit to Taman Sari Market was disappointing due to a scam. A vendor at the front offered my family free fruit samples, including snake fruit and passion fruit. When we asked for the price of the snake fruit, she quoted 70,000 rupiah per kilo, which is nearly four times the normal price. After we said we weren't interested, she started verbally harassing us. This kind of dishonest behavior is disheartening and gives tourists a negative impression for Bali face. Visitors should be aware of this tactic and refuse any unsolicited samples to avoid being pressured into buying overpriced items. The lady is in her mid 40, don’t accept anything from her even if she just saying “try this as a sample””

“Randomly found this place on google maps while looking for a local place to buy fruit. It’s about a 20 min drive from “downtown” Canggu depending on traffic … Park at the Starbucks, which is about a minute walk from this place. The fruit here was sooo good and affordable. Very local and authentic. The people at the market are also so friendly and help you pick out the most ripe and flavorful ;) Make sure to buy some yellow passion fruits. Also when buying fruit make sure to ask “eat today ?” Or if you want it for the next day “eat Tomorrow” so it’s perfect and enjoyable.”
