What people say
“My photo-taking skills didn’t do justice to the great service and good food. I really enjoy observing the omakase chef preparing and explaining each dish, and the pace also feels just right (not too rush/ delay). It’s our 2nd time here (1st one trying Take, 2nd one trying Ume). I think the chef is different, last time the main chef macam a Japanese, so the assisting chef do all the explanation. The chef this time is Malaysian, very friendly, and feeding our curious questions not just our tummy 😋 He is very passionate in explaining wagyu-related curiosity (different type of meat, style of serving, cuts preference) that we end up staying 10 minutes longer than the other customers hehe 😂 If you have certain preferences (e.g. can’t eat egg, can’t eat raw meat), make sure to check with them/ let them know prior to booking to ensure you can enjoy the experience to the fullest. I only eat raw meat here which tastes surprisingly good & tak hanyir. All dishes really stands out on its own way, but comparing with experience at other place, the chawanmushi and salad really impressed me. I even asked if I could come to only takeaway those but sadly it can’t be done, so do expect me coming back for the 3rd time ya 😂”
“Celebrated my birthday here and it was such a wonderful experience. The ambiance was calm and intimate, perfect for solo dining. Every course was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. The chefs explained every menu in detail. The staffs were attentive, friendly, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. They added small touches that made my birthday extra special. Highly recommend this place for anyone who want self rewarding experience.”
“Tengyu Omakase.. Everything was delicious; what stood out most for me was the simple yet flavourful hot beef bone soup served after all the appetisers, mushimono, premium chuck rib, chuck roll, my personal preference of tenderloin, uni-topped raw beef sushi, and grilled sirloin roll with egg yolk and rice. It was comforting and satisfying. The dessert truly stole the show, a raspberry mousse cake delicately adorned with gold dust, paired with sweet muscat grapes and salted chocolate cookie crumbs. An unexpected but perfect finish. Highly recommended! Not forgetting the top notch services and explanation given by the chef and team as well.”
“Had a birthday celebration here and the experience was amazing. The chef gave thorough explanations for each course and even asked if we would like for more. Would definitely come again.”
“The food here is really good. The Wagyu beef was delicious and the quality of the meat was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the beef soup – it was very flavorful. The desserts were beautifully presented and you can tell a lot of effort was put into them. The omakase chef was very friendly, professional, and great to talk to, and the service was excellent. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely give this place 5 stars.”
