What people say

“We went on Thursday night and had an amazing time. The vibe was beautiful. The place seems to be family-owned and managed, and they invite people to come up and play. There were incredible musicians performing music in different languages, and the level was surprisingly high. At one point, the owner even asked if we wanted to join in, which we found hilarious! (We don’t play any instrument) Later, a group of young boys went up to play, and although they were clearly beginners, people cheered them on and a local trumpetist accompanied them. It was such a charming moment. There was a brief tense situation when a word from the stage upset some people, but we were impressed by how calmly and elegantly the owners handled it, despite the hostility directed at him. We’re so glad we didn’t miss this place. It’s truly one of the most special spots on the island!”
“One of the best places on the island to make new friends and hear some of the most talented local musicians that live here all year. Often a place to find friendly expats who know the island and are happy to share a bit of wisdom. Drinks are the same as all cheap / normal bars. Outdoor nostalgic campfire style seating. Smoker friendly, but big and open enough easy to escape. Children friendly, often dancing in the front.”
“Nice big venue and great P.A. for artist to get up and perform. Unfortunately there wasn't anyone there but 3 people so we didn't stay... can't really request since we didn't stay”
“Loved the setting and the music was very good too. But considering its open mic its not very inviting if you're not super good at singing or playing an instrument. The houseband seemed to want to do their own thing at some point and vibed a girl who wanted so sing off the stage. The guy playing guitar literally turned his back towards her the entire time. Gave us bad vibes so we left.”
“After reading the comments at 1 star given by the same group of persons, who probably expected something else and tried to put down the place, we came to show our support to one of the best institutions in Koh Phangan!! A place where you can feel free and safe to be who you are, a place that hosts locals, expats and tourists without any distinction. A place where anyone can join the stage or dance or just chill. A place that we would like to see more. N. B.: Sorry for the food poisoning BUT they DON'T serve any food 🤣”
