“The Mailroom is a very unique hidden cocktail bar with a special concept. Before entering, you need to make a reservation. The entrance itself is part of the experience — it feels like you’re walking into an old building under renovation. After booking, they give you a number/code to find the entrance and access the bar, which makes the whole experience feel exclusive and secretive. The cocktails are creative and unlike standard drinks you find elsewhere. Prices are definitely on the expensive side, around 180k–220k IDR per cocktail, but the experience and presentation are unique. The venue itself is very small, probably for around 20–25 people maximum, with compact tables and chairs, creating an intimate atmosphere. The staff were attentive, and the DJ/music selection was also very good. Overall, a great place if you enjoy hidden bars and signature cocktail experiences.”

“Hands-down, one of the best cocktail bars and speakeasies I’ve ever been to! Highly recommend making reservations and once you do, they give you a mailbox number that you take a key and go through a door and you’re in a small cocktail room and it’s very intimate and very cute. The cocktails are super unique and the presentation is like no other. Price point they are pretty typical between 170-220K depending on the cocktail potency. They give you a tiny bowl of free chips, but they do not serve food here. Staff are really friendly, but for the bathtub drink they only have two of those bowls so if two people already ordered it you have to wait to get one. Don’t skip this place if you are in the canggu area!”

“Very memorable speakeasy with a very well dressed gent on the road asking if you’re looking for the Mailroom. You then go into what essentially looks like a construction sight, given a key box number, find the key box and unlock the door! You’re greeted by a very intimate space, super enthusiastic staff and cocktail design and taste unlike that I’ve never seen.”

“Hidden in Berawa, Canggu, The Mailroom isn’t just our favorite cocktail speakeasy in Bali—it’s where our story began. Its epic entrance, two and a half years ago, was our very first date. We stepped inside not knowing that one night would turn into a marriage! From the first moment, it felt cinematic. Intimate. Important. The décor is epic—like stepping into a luxe vintage train car bound for somewhere glamorous. Plush green velvet seats, warm brass accents, a stunning central bar, and that vibing electric swing soundtrack that somehow feels both retro and modern at the same time. It’s transportive and pumping. And then the drinks. What?! Wildly creative. Profound. Each one presented like edible art with layered flavors that make you stop mid-conversation. It’s experimental and experiential. The staff… from the greeters and security to Desi, the hostess, brings effortless warmth and polish … and she is totally sweet. Wayan, the mixologist, is a true craftsman. Watching him build a cocktail feels intentional, almost ceremonial. He rocks it! We’ve since visited speakeasies all over the world through Sunsets & Speakeasies (our YouTube channel) and we compare every single one to The Mailroom. It’s our gold standard—not just for cocktails, but for atmosphere and energy. Sitting in this bar again now, married, feels surreal. Same seats. Same music. Different chapter. If you’re in Bali and appreciate world-class cocktails and unforgettable ambiance, go. Date night, celebration, or just because life deserves beautiful moments. For us, The Mailroom will always be more than a bar—it’s the first page of our love story.”

“The speakeasy experience the way it should be. Walking down the street, we were greeted by a concierge in front of a under-renovation store front. The only sign something on the backside would be the green key sign. He asked " are you looking for the mail room". We said "yes". He said " follow me", and then proceeded to talk on his walkie talking. The part of taking the key from a mailbox to open the hidden bar was fun. Gave us 4040. The bar itself is amazing in decor. Cozy if packed with a crowd of 20. We were the only ones. The servers are very kind, explained the amazing cocktails with their exotic names. The Lord of Himself, is a nice take. The bartender is a maestro, and their presentation worth the price. 5 star speakeasy experience. Food is not on menu, highly recommended for the experience.”
