One thing worth mentioning: the Da Nang location is currently undergoing construction, so visually the shop may not look as polished as their Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh locations. Don’t let that discourage you. The quality of work speaks for itself. Also, for people comparing Da Nang to Hoi An tailoring: yes, you can absolutely get cheaper suits in Hoi An. I had a friend pay around $300 USD for one there. It looked decent at first glance, but: -It wasn’t even half canvas. -The fabric quality was nowhere near the same. A lot of customers don’t realize many shops simply fuse suits instead of using half-canvas or full-canvas construction. Some tailors don’t even properly explain the difference. Bao, on the other hand, took the time to educate me on the process and why construction matters long term. A few recommendations for anyone considering getting a suit made here: -Contact Bao through WhatsApp or email before visiting, especially if you are short on time. Provide images of products that you are looker for. Be honest about type of fit (slim, tailed, baggy, etc). He will do what you state, provide his feedback, and I respect this. -If you want a half-canvas or full-canvas suit, give yourself at least a week in Vietnam. -Multiple fittings are important. Expect to come back every day or every other day. -Listen to their recommendations during fittings; they genuinely want the suit to fit well. At the end of my trip, I left Vietnam knowing I had an amazing suit that I’ll confidently wear to multiple weddings this year. The value is honestly outstanding. You are paying premium pricing by Vietnam standards, but still saving well over $1,000 compared to getting a similar suit made in the United States. I highly recommend Bao and his team to anyone looking for real bespoke tailoring in Vietnam. No regrets at all. He also works with you if you would like to order from your home country (as they keep your measurements)....definitely helpful!”
