What people say

“Jochen and Michael took us on a unique and very interesting tour of Dalla. The biking was flat and easy, but you do need to have a basic comfort on the bike as you will need to coordinate riding and high-fiving the neighborhood kids! Our tour took us from the bustle of Yangon to some beautiful fields overlooking the river. There was even a surprise boat ride! Would do this again for sure!”
“A truly wonderful trip. I did the bike tour of Dalah. It was mesmerising. Starting at the downtown office a short bike ride to the ferry across the river. Then 30km of easy cycling through Dalah. The countryside was beautiful and the people so friendly. A really good bike perfectly suited to the almost entirely paved roads. Jochen is highly knowledgable. The whole thing took five hours. If you are going to Yangon this is a definite thing you must do. Five stars.”
“I highly recommend Uncharted Horizons for their 1/2 day bicycle tour of the adjacent islands bordering the river area of Yangon. A simple but well run operation and our local guide Michael was excellent. This tour travels across the river by ferry, then explores the local villages that populate the island. You will travel along the narrow paths and roads while viewing the locals live their daily lives. The mountain bikes were Trek brand, good condition. The island is flat, so there are no hills to climb. Stop in small local food stands and experience life with the friendly local people. This trip is a must if you visit Yangon and you like to bicycle.”
“Highly recommend the bike tours tour with Unchartered horizons. I’ve now done the Dala tour 4 times over the years and it has always been excellent, with different routes taken to suit the needs of each group. You get to see a completely different side of Yangon and it truly feels like a full trip discovering Myanmar, condensed in a (half-)day. The team is amazing and always sharing fascinating facts and anecdotes, complementing very well the visual discovery of Dala. Multiple stops in markets and tea houses are also a great highlight. The bikes and equipment are in very good conditions. Really a must, both if you’re living in Yangon or just visiting !”
“Excellent tour with Jochen and Michael. Cycle out of the main area of Yangon and explore the villages across the river. An Interesting and active half day tour. Well worth doing if you’re in Yangon for a couple of days!”
