Venezia Italian Restaurant

“Came to this restaurant because I had a craving for a good Italian meal and chose it based on some reviews. I ordered the prawn appetizer to start and it was excellent. Spicy and the prawns cooked well in a nice sauce. I was going to order a seafood fettuccine meal until I asked the waiter to make sure it was “al dente “ and looked at me like I had two heads . Thought a place that calls themselves an Italian restaurant would understand a basic term of cooking Italian pasta. So i explained what it meant and then tells me that most of the pasta dishes have the pasta parboiled and then finished off when ordered. Also not what i want to hear from an Italian restaurant. Nonetheless, i changed my order to the ravioli. Thought it would be a better choice considering my recent discussion . The ravioli with bolognese were good but about average. A note about the table..the tablecloth was dirty and not sure the last time it was changed. It’s obvious they don’t change it after a customer leaves as I saw the staff on two occasions just wipe away crumbs and set the table again. This is understandable if the tablecloth is clean but mine was somewhat disgusting. I’ve included a picture…. and the stains are not from my eating.”

“I was in Bangkok for around 4 days and closing time for all restaurants in that area was 10:30 pm. We got late and requested the chef if they can take our last orde since all the restaurants refused to take any further orders. The chef was very kind to us and even at 10:40 pm took our whole order for 7 people and not once did it feel like I was being mistreated or being discriminated. Even though they were closing the restaurant they allowed us to eat without rushing us and nor were any staff rude to us for this. For pasta lovers I suggest you the spaghetti in tomato sauce and penne in cream sauce with chicken. Pizzas were equally delicious and looked mouth watering. On my last day in Bangkok I told the chef that it's my last day here and I love his food, he arranged us a cheesecake and a tiramisu on the house. The head chef is very sweet and the staff are all very kind and welcoming. Once you go in you feel like coming back because of how house felt it was. Many people say the chefs aren't Italian and nor is the staff. But trust me them being Thai doesn't change the Italian delicacy at all. The food tastes exactly how it should be. Nothing felt off in the food, infact everything felt so Italian authentic. Thanks to the staff for the lovely experience ✨️”

“Located a mere stone’s throw from the Rembrandt Hotel, Venezia initially presents itself as a charming sanctuary of Mediterranean calm amidst the Bangkok bustle. The atmosphere is undeniably catchy—it’s got that warm, inviting glow that makes you think you’ve hit the jackpot for an evening of authentic 'Dolce Vita.' The service, I must say, was top-drawer. The staff were genuinely lovely, navigating the floor with a level of hospitality that is quintessentially Thai. However, let’s talk shop regarding the fare. The pizza was a standard affair—decent enough, but the crust lacked that quintessential, airy crunch one expects from a high-calibre wood-fired oven. It was fine, but it didn't exactly set the world on fire. The real clanger, however, was the beverage situation. In a restaurant of this supposed pedigree, being served a carton of mass-produced, non-organic orange juice is, frankly, a proper let-down. It’s a bit of a pantomime to charge premium prices for a 'ready-to-use' drink that lacks the vibrancy of fresh fruit. It felt like a significant downgrade that didn't quite sit right with the rest of the aesthetic. Thankfully, the evening ended on a blinding high note. They brought out a homemade cheesecake as a complimentary gesture—and my word, it was sublime. Silky, rich, and clearly made with a level of craft that was missing from the juice box. The Verdict: A lovely spot with a great vibe, but a bit pricey for the inconsistencies. It’s a solid choice for a convenient dinner, but they need to bin the boxed juice if they want to justify those 'high-end' London prices.”

“As someone who cares a lot about hygiene, I can honestly say this is a very clean and well-organized restaurant. The tables, service area, and overall environment were spotless, which gives you confidence as soon as you walk in. The food we ordered was served hot and was very delicious; you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The service was fast, and the staff were extremely friendly. The gentleman who I believe is the owner was also very polite and kind. It’s a place you can choose with confidence both for taste and cleanliness. Definitely recommended.”
