“If you're in the mood for something sweet and yummy, Yuki Mugi is a must-visit. This charming bakery offers a delightful mix of Japanese and European-inspired pastry and desserts that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. I tried the garlic cheese bun, peach danish, cream cheese croissant, and the matcha croissant which were light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The textures were good, and you can tell everything is made fresh daily. Their coffee was normal. It would be better if they can keep the label for the items. Yuki Mugi has been one of my to-go bakeries since its opening, and I have to admit it used to taste better. The pastries had a balanced texture and more refined flavors in the past. Recently, I felt less filling cream being used and ingredients quality was not as good as it used to be. I do hope they return to the original recipes, techniques or ingredients that made them stand out in the first place. Another noticeable change at this new place: there is no dine-in like before yet. I used to love sitting down inside their cozy, minimalist space with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Now, only takeaway is available. That said, the staff are helpful, and the shop itself has a cozy, minimalist aesthetic. The prices are reasonable. Highly recommend stopping by if you're a fan of good bakeries and pastries. “This is the first time I have been there. They have different flavors of croissants and varieties of Japanese-style bread. All of them are fresh, soft, and tender. My expectations are met and I will go and grab their baked items quite often from now on. Fully recommended.”

“10/10. This review may sound bias because it is. I’ve been a fan of them since they first opened in early 2020. As an avid bread eater, the daily bakes from Yuki Mugi has been a staple. They’re so freaking good. Chewy, soft and the texture is perfect. I would say it would even be on par with some of the bakeries in Thailand/Japan. I believe they incorporate Japanese baking techniques and their croissants are one of (if not) the best in Yangon. If you don’t know what to try, I’d recommend: • Cream Cheese Croissant • Banana Toast Bread • Sausage Bun • Cheese Croissant And to the people who’re complaining about the bread being expensive, they’re a business operating in this political climate and obviously they’re susceptible to the price hike in raw materials, and yet they’ve maintained the quality over the years. For general reference, even a cup of La Phet Yay is close to 1500-2000 now. If you’re not willing to pay for it, then stick to bread talk and their deteriorating quality 🙃🤦🏻‍♂️”

“Taste and price are better than other bakeries in Yangon. However, it is not good that the bread is served at an irregular time. Every day diffrent. Need improvement. There are seats upstairs and cool. But a lot of mosquitoes. Coffee is fine.”

“A bit expensive but it's taste is value for money. It's fully air conditioned. Donuts are one of the things that I recommend to try at that cafe. Coffee at that cafe is something I don't like and don't recommend ordering that. It has two floors, the ground floor is to order the beverages and the first floor has tables for dining. It also has a toilet on the first floor. The bad thing about the toilet is that it's not clean when I get there.”
