“A somewhat hard to find restaurant on the second floor. Access through a dark path way and old school staircase. The restaurant itself is a minimalist's heaven: its decoration is clean, bright, and simple. This restaurant offers a modern twist to seafood in Viet Nam. The staff speaks English and provides great service here. Food tastes as authentic and tasty as it gets at a reasonable price.”

“An Cua Saigon has excellent seafood shellfish options. The flavors are novel and creative interpretations of traditional, local Vietnamese ingredients but with more complex flavor combinations. All the food was very fresh and well prepared.”

“The restaurant may be small, but it doesn’t feel cramped. There are tables for both groups and solo diners, plus a balcony with a beautiful, airy view overlooking Ben Thanh Market. The seafood is fresh, with live tanks where you can see it swimming. The dishes are well-prepared and delicious — the fried rice is not greasy at all. The staff are very polite and attentive, and the prices are reasonable considering its central location. Overall, I think this place is definitely worth trying.”

“This restaurant didn’t live up to the hype. Nothing about it was necessarily bad but nothing was that great that I would choose it again over other options. The food was seasoned poorly and the portion sizes small relative to the prices. The service was quite slow even though the tables were not all taken. We had finished our two items before the third was even brought out. The atmosphere is bright but so loud. It’s not a place to have a nice conversation with someone. There are plenty of better options in HCMC.”
