“We had a real feast at An Hoi. Because the restaurant is so popular and Michelin-recommended, I expected rather small portions, so the two of us made the strategic mistake of ordering four dishes. As soon as the soup arrived, I realized that was far too much. The portion was definitely much larger than what you usually get for a similar price in other places. It was also excellent: deeply aromatic, full of greens, choy sum and cabbage, with very tender young squid stuffed, I believe, with finely minced fish, plus clams that added even more flavor to the broth. The highlight of the meal, however, were the grilled oysters, topped with peanuts and green herbs. They were absolutely delicious, not overcooked, still slightly soft and delicate in the center, which gave them a wonderful texture. The morning glory was also memorable, as it came with peanuts and meat, a combination I had not encountered before and found very successful. The fresh spring rolls were tasty and well filled, although the rice paper itself was slightly too tough and chewy for my taste. We had to wait about 30–40 minutes for a table, but the whole process was very well organized. You are given a number, and the numbers are called when your turn comes. The staff were also very efficient, quick and attentive to what was happening in the dining room, bringing extra sauces as soon as they noticed something had run out and responding promptly to customers’ needs. The restaurant was busy, lively and clearly very popular, but the food fully justified its reputation. An Hoi definitely deserves its Michelin recommendation.”

“Had a lovely lunch here! Came on a weekday around 11am and as there are no reservations, waited 15 mins for a table (you collect a numbered ticket from the staff and wait for your number to be called). The food took around 20 minutes to arrive and they looked (and tasted) amazing. The seafood fried rice was plated beautifully and extremely flavourful without being too sweet. The grilled scallops with scallions were fresh and had a nice texture. The shrimp with garlic sauce was plump and juicy, and the mango smoothie was thick and refreshing. The morning glory was the only dish that wasn’t amazing, it was tasty but similar to other restaurants we’ve tried in Danang. The staff were extremely friendly, from offering to peel the shrimps to giving us sharing plates, always serving us with a friendly smile. Really glad i got to try this place on my last day in Danang, hope to be back again sometime soon”

“The food at An Thoi Restaurant was truly addictive, every dish was so delicious! We ordered the shrimp, and what made the experience even more unique was that the staff helped peel the shrimp for us… such amazing service 😘 The only downside was the long waiting time at the beginning during ordering. We had to patiently wait while standing for around 45 minutes 😅 But overall, the food and experience were definitely worth the wait!”

“Dinner at An Thoi was definitely worth the wait! Even though we waited almost an hour for a table, the food made up for it. We tried the pineapple fried rice served in a fresh pineapple, refreshing buko juice, crispy bánh xèo, flavorful spring rolls, and perfectly cooked scallops — every dish was delicious and full of flavor.”

“The spring rolls with kebab noodles doesn’t look that appetizing but was surprisingly delicious, very flavorful, and satisfying. The fried crepe was fun to make and very yummy. The fried baby shrimps were simple, it was sweet and we put them together with the other dishes. Our kids liked the cheesy scallops the best. Servers were very polite and attentive. We did have to wait for a table. But once the food came, it made sense why the place was busy. The wait was truly worth it. Definitely worth the wait.”
