The team handled everything incredibly professionally and calmly - blood tests, specialist consultation, fluid aspiration, clear explanations, follow-up plan, and constant attention to detail. You can really feel the level of care and how much effort was put into building this hospital and training the staff. The facilities, organization, communication, and overall atmosphere are on an international level. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely reassuring without dismissing my concerns. She is an exceptional Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgeon who truly took her time to explain every option for my husband’s rib fractures. We just finished our one-week follow-up session with her and the progress has been excellent. This facility is absolutely top-notch by any international standard—modern, clean, and highly organized. “Disappointed is an understatement. Do not come here for anything related to mental health if you are expecting compassion and care. I came to this hospital during a mental health crisis seeking TMS. The price for starters is extremely high (2.7mil per day), recommended 5 times a week for 5 weeks - 67.5 million IDR total by the end of treatment, which I was willing to pay because, given the risk to my mental health, the consequences of not receiving treatment far outweighed the cost. However, they then add a “mandatory” 485k per day on top as a charge for a “consultation.” I was told prior to starting treatment this was a pre-treatment check, but it turns out it’s only 1–2 minutes in a room checking my blood pressure before TMS. A blood pressure check is not a requirement before receiving TMS - this feels like an unjustified additional charge. This places people in a vulnerable mental state, seeking urgent help, in a very difficult position. I raised this and pleaded with them to remove the daily consultation fee, making it clear I was willing to continue treatment, but not an additional 485k IDR per day - roughly $50 AUD - for a 1–2 minute check. This amounts to 485k IDR per day, 5 days a week for 5 consecutive weeks - totalling 12 million IDR (around $1,200 AUD) for what is essentially a very brief daily check. Instead of addressing this fairly, they suggested I may want to pursue more in-depth psychiatric care - which is of course at additional cost. So whilst I am requesting that they waive a daily consultation fee, they are instead guiding me toward further paid services, rather than resolving a concern about an unclear charge. After I challenged them, they changed their explanation and told me the charge was for a doctor in the room adjusting my treatment plan. When I challenged them again, stating that a doctor should not be altering anything and that it is a neurologist who makes those adjustments - and noted that this in itself is concerning - they backtracked again, said I was right and that it is the neurologist who makes those adjustments, not the doctor, and that the doctor is simply there to observe. So this has gone from a “consultation” checking my vitals, to being a doctor altering my treatment plan, to then not altering anything at all - now it is simply an observation. Which means I am being charged for an observation - something that is already a standard part of TMS treatment. A doctor being present purely to observe alongside the neurologist is not a standard requirement of TMS treatment, and does not appear to justify an additional daily charge. This shows how many times the explanation has changed in an attempt to justify this fee, when there is still no clear explanation for it. It raises serious concerns about whether financial considerations are being prioritised over patient care and transparency. I cannot justify paying for a charge that remains unclear, which is why I refused to continue treatment under these conditions. Due to their lack of understanding and compassion, I have had to cease treatment. Instead of handling a fair request with reason, the situation was not resolved. Please, if you are struggling with your mental health and are desperate, do not turn to this hospital expecting compassion - because you may not receive the level of care and clarity you are hoping for. You may leave feeling worse.”
