“There’s one smarmy woman on reception that needs retraining. Edit: manager took on feedback and talked to me about it to understand my review. I’ve since noticed more consistent service from reception staff. Most of the staff were already very polite and happy to help. I’ve given 5 stars because while there could still be improvements, the overall experience is generally great. The class instructors are all incredible. I’ve had amazing Olympic lifting technique advice from almost all of them in just a few weeks. The only issue is how crowded the classes are. Some times the equipment breaks because of the heavy usage too. I wish they would only allow for the number of people for equipment in good use (keep at least one in reserve) to allow for a better class experience. The floor staff always switch out and fix on the fly which is great, but it would be better if it wasn’t disrupting the class semi regularly at all. I think it’s really popular for a reason, but that does mean that you have to arrive early to make sure you get on the class you want. I think maybe the price increase might help with this - hopefully! The recovery oasis area is my favourite part - jumping into an ice bath to cool off after a Hyrox class is amazing. The food is also great both in terms of the variety of options, the macros, and taste. I’ve been eating in the cafe and at the oasis several times a day and I’m not over my favourites yet (chicken pow bao, nasi go gains, and the custom plates and smoothies)”
“I paid 525,000 IDR for a single Day Pass, which is an extremely high price considering what this gym actually offers. Photo 1: They mention that these machines are supposedly going to be replaced. But the replacement has not happened yet, so customers are currently expected to use the old equipment in its current condition. Photos 2–3: This hyperextension machine shakes excessively and feels extremely unsafe to use. It is unstable, uncomfortable, and honestly dangerous - especially when using additional weight. This is dangerous for the lower back, spine, and overall safety in general. Something could easily slip or move unexpectedly. When I asked the staff for help, I was told that the machine is simply broken and missing a locking part, so “it will just keep wobbling like that.” What exactly is that supposed to mean? And there was no second machine available as an alternative. Photos 4–6: Half of the machines I needed were in non-working condition. How is this compensated when there are no alternative machines available? Photo 7: This Hip Thrust Machine was absolutely filthy, worn out, uncomfortable, and in terrible condition overall. Honestly, it was awful to use. Photos 8–10: It is completely unclear what some of these machines are even meant for. Which muscles are targeted? What are the secondary muscle groups? Am I supposed to guess? There is absolutely no information anywhere on the machines - not on the front, sides, or back. No instructions, no muscle diagrams, no usage guidance, no safety information, nothing. First of all, this goes against basic safety standards. Second, it is incredibly inconvenient. Third, it is simply strange. Every equipment brand has its own movement mechanics and setup specifics, and proper instructions exist for a reason. People can get seriously injured in gyms because of poorly maintained equipment or lack of proper information and safety guidance. In general, the gym itself is very small. There is an excessively large area dedicated to acrobatics, powerlifting, and similar activities, while the actual gym machine area for people who came specifically for strength training is extremely limited and poorly designed. Everything is packed tightly together with barely any space between machines. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and honestly concerning from a safety perspective.”
“I had an amazing experience at Bambu Fitness, this place truly lives up to its reputation as a complete fitness and wellness hub. What sets Bambu apart is that it’s not just a gym, it’s a full experience. The Oasis facilities are incredible, offering a perfect space to recover and unwind after training. The atmosphere feels more like a high-end retreat than a typical gym, which makes a huge difference in your overall routine. The CrossFit classes were a highlight. The programming is well thought out, challenging but adaptable, and the coaches are excellent — very attentive, motivating, and focused on proper technique. The open gym space itself is top quality. Everything is modern, clean, and well maintained, with plenty of equipment. On top of that, the community and vibe really stand out. There’s a strong sense of connection, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes you want to come back consistently. Bambu is an absolute must.”
“Visiting Bambufitness in Bali was one of the best decisions I made during my stay. The facility strikes the perfect balance between a welcoming atmosphere and a highly professional training environment. The equipment is modern and well-maintained, the space is clean and thoughtfully arranged, and the overall vibe is motivating without ever feeling crowded or hectic. The trainers are truly exceptional—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about helping you improve. They take the time to correct form, offer personalized tips, and create an environment where beginners and advanced athletes feel equally supported. Every session left me energized and confident. What sets Bambufitness apart is the sense of community. From the moment you walk in, you feel included. It’s the kind of place where you look forward to working out, not just because of the training itself, but because of the people and the positive energy. Whether you're in Bali for a short stay or a longer period, Bambufitness is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!”
“Lovely place to chill out for everyone selfconsious about their fitness. Basically a paradise for gymrats. Decent equipment, nice open atmosphere and after your workout 🏋️ going to the Oasis area is amazing. Great tasty gym food where the menus reveals all the kcal and macros. Jacuzzi, pool, ice bath, sauna 👌😍”
