“Hidden at the end of a narrow alley behind a vintage Coca-Cola vending machine door, BattBong is one of Phnom Penh’s most atmospheric speakeasy bars. The entrance alone sets the tone — mysterious, playful, and slightly cinematic. ⸻ 🍸 Ambience & Music Inside, the mood is intimate and dimly lit, with exposed brick walls, crafted cocktails, and live bands performing both English and Khmer songs. The singers are energetic and bring life to the space — though some guests find the volume a touch high for conversation. The vibe is ideal for a Friday night drink or a casual dinner with a bit of entertainment. ⸻ 🍴 Food & Drinks The bar food exceeds expectations for a speakeasy: seafood pasta, garlic shrimp, and the seafood pizza are among the highlights. Dishes are flavorful, portions are fair, and presentation is thoughtful. Cocktails are well-crafted and balanced, showing attention to detail — the bartenders take pride in both flavor and aesthetics. “The food wasn’t bad it could taste better if you ask me . Really good music I must of came at the right times because I seen a live performance that was really great. Make reservations if u want to have a table it’s a small place and I had to eat the bar in the bar is pretty small also so make a reservation.”

“This venue is an absolute gem in Phnom Penh. The experience begins the moment you arrive; the entrance was a trip in the best possible way and immediately set the stage for the evening. The ambiance is stellar, creating a perfect backdrop for a truly creative cocktail program. The live entertainment was a highlight, featuring wonderful singers who really elevated the atmosphere. Beyond the setting and drinks, the service was fabulous—attentive and professional. The clientele is equally inviting, and the vibe is so social that we ended up having a great conversation with the people seated next to us. Highly recommended.”

“Frankly speaking, the food itself here is already worth 5 stars. The prawn is an absolute must order. It is extremely fragrant and savoury. Trust me when I say this is probably the best prawns I've had in my life so far. The entrance is a coca cola machine. The bar itself has amazing live singers. The female vocalist was amazing. Drinks wise they're not the cheapest by local standards, but worth it. Well concocted and they dont skimp on the alcohol. You must visit if youre in Phnom penh.”
