“Visited Central Market Kuala Lumpur and it was such a vibrant and cultural experience. The building itself has a charming heritage look, and inside it’s filled with local art, handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional items. I loved walking around and exploring the small stalls selling batik, handmade accessories, and Malaysian snacks. The atmosphere feels lively and colorful, especially with street performances and nearby attractions like Petaling Street just a short walk away. Overall, Central Market is a great place to experience local culture, shop for unique gifts, and enjoy the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Perfect for both tourists and locals who appreciate art and tradition.”
“I had visited Central Market once before, but it was quite early in the day and many of the shops had not opened yet. This time, I made a special trip mainly to collect stamp, and I arrived much later in the evening. It turned out to be a different experience altogether. With more shops open and the area beautifully lit up at night, it was nice to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the atmosphere. The evening lights added a charming touch to the historic surroundings, making the visit feel much more lively than my previous one.”
“Central Market also know Pasar Seni for local is a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city. It is a centre for Malaysian culture, art and craft situated in significant historical heritage building that has come a long way from it early beginning as a wet market built in 1888 and now turn to a delightful destination for tourists, shoppers, and art lovers. Today, Central Market Kuala Lumpur is one of a must visit destination. It is not just a retail experience, but to be there also a heritage experience offering a wonderful visual treat and appreciation of Malaysia heritage and architecture as you walk in inside the building. Central Market Kuala Lumpur emphasis on art is also evident with the transformation of Central Market Annex’s to house a variety of art galleries to include illusion 3D Art Museum, and Art House Gallery. Central Market Art Lane, on the other hand is an art corner comprising of 10 unique studios that features exciting works of art by local artists. Recommended to pay a visit at Central Market Kuala Lumpur whenever you are in town.”
“Central Market Kuala Lumpur is a must-visit if you’re looking to buy souvenirs in Malaysia at affordable prices. There are tons of shops inside—clothes, souvenirs, jewelry, even mini supermarkets. The chocolate is seriously cheap and really good (I brought some back for friends and everyone loved it). Big packs of snacks are also very affordable. I bought quite a lot and still spent under 1 million VND, including some really cute keychains. There are also custom stalls where you can personalize items, which is a nice touch. Definitely worth checking out!”
“Often called Pasar Seni, Central Market is one of Kuala Lumpur's most famous cultural and heritage attractions. Malaysian handicrafts, batik clothing, souvenirs, jewelry, and traditional artwork. Cultural sections representing Malay, Chinese, and Indian heritage. Art galleries and artist studios in the Annexe building. Local snacks and food stalls. The nearby Kasturi Walk, a covered pedestrian street with vendors and street performers. However, prices tend to be on the higher side. If you're looking for more budget-friendly options, you can walk a few minutes to Petaling Street.”
