“Chiang Mai Sunday Night Market is worth visiting if you are in the old city on a Sunday evening. It is not just a food market. There are many handmade items, paintings, ceramics, wooden lamps, soaps, candles, clothes, and small souvenirs. The whole street feels very lively and gives you a good sense of Chiang Mai’s local atmosphere. I liked it more as a walking experience than a shopping destination. The lights, street stalls, handmade goods, and crowds make it feel like a temporary open-air exhibition in the old town. It does get very crowded later in the evening, so I would recommend going earlier if you want a more comfortable walk or better photos. Wear comfortable shoes and bring some cash. A good stop for first-time visitors, especially if you enjoy night markets, local crafts, and casual street photography.”

“​⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The absolute best night market in Thailand! If you are in Chiang Mai on a Sunday, this market is an absolute must-do. The entire center of the Old City shuts down to traffic and transforms into a massive, lively street festival. What sets this apart from other markets is the quality of the goods—there are so many genuine local artists selling beautiful handmade crafts, clothes, and paintings rather than just mass-produced souvenirs. The street food is a foodie's paradise; the temple grounds turn into outdoor food courts where you can try amazing Northern Thai food like Khao Soi and Sai Oua (local sausage) for incredibly cheap prices. It gets incredibly crowded by 7 PM, so my biggest tip is to arrive around 5 PM to walk around comfortably before the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds hit. Wear very comfortable walking shoes!”

“One of the best night market in the old city. Souvenirs, clothing, food everything you can find in here. This is probably the best way to spend your Sunday night as there are tons of small booths to look at. Be prepared to walk as the market is huge. There are seats and tables in designated food area but be prepared to eat outside and it can get really hot at night.”

“Went 2x at Sunday night market street. Very cheap very good many many things so interesting. Bought many clothes, good and cheap food and even one nice ring… and I love avocado smoothie! “This place is Sunday Walking Street also called Chiang Mai Walking Street in Google map, open only on Sundays, not to be confused with Night Bazaar which is only every night outside the old city. To my surprise, this place covered many streets including temple grounds, food courts along have 3 separate areas but they all don't look nice to me(2 have very low tables), maybe I have missed the better areas, much more to see than the Saturday Walking Street.”
