“I am a foreigner. This morning I went to the hospital for cellulitis treatment, but the hospital told me that my medical insurance card was invalid. I had some examinations done in the morning, and they informed me to prepare for surgery starting at 1 PM. I immediately reported this to my company, and the company contacted the insurance provider. Around noon, we were notified that my medical insurance card was valid again. However, when we informed the hospital reception at 1 PM, they said it was not possible to switch to using the insurance-covered fees. The entire treatment ended up costing 9,500,000 VND. What I find very difficult to understand is that this should have only been a timing issue — just administrative work to update the documents — yet I still had to pay such a large amount. The experience felt very disappointing.”

The nurses were approachable, compassionate and patient, always checking in to make sure I was comfortable. The doctors/nurses explained everything clearly and made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. The hospital was clean, organized, and efficient, which made a stressful time much easier.
