“We find Gezellin to be one of the nicest, friendliest cafes/bakeries we have come across in Hà Nội. Most importantly their selection of breads and other baked goods is very, very tasty. We especially like their white sourdough bread and their chunky banana bread. We love their banana bread so much that we asked them to let us know each time they prepare a fresh batch. Unlike many others we have tried their banana bread is light rather than dense, but still contains generous amounts of bananas, nuts and chocolate chunks. One the best we have tried. Congratulations to Ha (the head baker) and her team.”

“I’m a fan of your sourdough—it’s seriously good. The salmon toast and focaccia also stand out with their generous, flavorful toppings. The atmosphere is another plus: it’s quiet and rarely crowded, making it a great spot to study or get some work done. My only drawback is the coffee: it arrived slowly and was barely warm, as if it had been held back waiting for the food to finish. If the coffee were served fresh and hot, the overall experience would be perfect.”

“A cozy café with a warm and pleasant interior, located in a small side alley in Ba Dinh. This place has two floors. The upper floor has a bakery where you can sometimes watch them baking. Unlike other cafés, background music isn't loud at all which makes a great place for working and studying. On the first floor you'll find also books in the shelves, some of them are in English as well. But the best part are the sourdough cookies... hmm, they are so yummy and have a fluffy consistency! Coffee and Matcha are good as well but it's the cookies why I keep coming back here. Do yourself a favor, come to this place and try them 🤗✨”

“A cozy and spacious spot. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality here. The sweet potato bun was incredibly soft and airy, but the star of the show was the sourdough. It is hard to find good sourdough in Hanoi, but this was spot on: perfect sourness and a crumb structure that rivals Western bakeries. We also tried the earl grey matcha, which was good, but the baked goods are definitely the main reason to visit. We will certainly come back when in town.”
