“Probably the best gelato we experienced during our time in Bali. There was a huge range of flavours to choose from, including vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, making it easy for everyone to find something they liked. The gelato itself was incredibly creamy and full of flavour, and it was easy to see why this place is so popular. The ordering process was a little unusual, as you queue and pay before deciding exactly what you want, but once you get past that it all runs smoothly. The venue has a great atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, although we took our gelato away as it was a spur-of-the-moment stop. Beyond the gelato, there is also an extensive coffee and macaron menu. I also loved the giant blackboard in the parking area where visitors can leave messages and drawings, which adds a fun touch to the experience. Knowing that the gelato is handcrafted in small batches using traditional artisan techniques learned in Bologna, Italy, makes it even more impressive. A must-visit for gelato lovers in Seminyak.”
“A really great place for savoring gelato with groups. Spacious place with indoor and outdoor seats, also high stools and power outlets. We tried the medium cup of gelato. Our server really squeezed in the gelato, it's enough for 2 adults. We also loved the cashew-crusted cinnamon roll. Quite pricey, so can't indulge ourselves too often. There's parking area for cars and motorcycles in front of the shop and a very spacious one across the shop, with helpful parking attendants. It costs 5000 rupiahs for cars.”
“I don’t usually go out of my way for gelato since it’s everywhere around Bali, but I stopped into Gusto Gelato because it has such a big reputation and I was curious to see how it compared. The place itself is quite large with lots of seating and a huge selection of flavors — easily one of the biggest flavor boards I’ve seen. When I visited it was surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to take a look through everything without a line. One thing that stood out is the ordering system. You actually pay first at the register and then move over to the gelato counter to choose your flavors. They do let you sample flavors, which is helpful, but it did feel a little unusual to pay before seeing everything in person. I ordered a small with two flavors: yogurt gelato, which I tend to try almost everywhere, and the exotic fruit flavor (a mix of tropical fruits like passion fruit and pineapple). The price for the small with two flavors was around 40K, which felt reasonable. To be honest, the gelato itself was pretty average overall. It wasn’t bad, but it also didn’t really stand out. Given how well-known the place is, I think I was expecting something a bit more memorable. The texture seemed to vary depending on the flavor — some looked lighter and fluffier while others were denser. One practical thing worth noting: they are cash only, which is helpful to know ahead of time. Overall it was fine to try once, but for me it ended up being a fairly basic gelato experience.”
“✔︎ There’s a reason this place has 20,000 reviews with a 4.7 rating. The gelato is seriously delicious. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but still the kind of place you keep coming back to. Only downside is that they don’t accept cards — which is a little inconvenient. ✔︎ They use 70% Indonesian ingredients, with no preservatives and no artificial coloring. You can really taste the natural flavor of each ingredient, which I loved. On the menu, the items with a small red circle indicate “Origin Indonesia.” There are lots of flavors, so it’s fun to choose — and they offer tasting samples too! ✔︎ There’s a separate parking area inside, and the interior is spacious and clean. Definitely a gelato shop I’d love to visit again!”
“Gusto is famous for its gelato, but personally it’s not really to my liking. Everyone has their own taste, so this review is purely based on my personal point of view”
