“I really had a wonderful time at this food market! I went alone as a woman and felt very safe. The range of food was excellent and it was clean. Great prices too! You have to try the potato puffs! The durian was so sweet and creamy (I love durian) and lots of fresh juices to try-sugarcane juice was perfect after chilli mango chunks!”
“Great authentic street food with loads of different local foods to choose from. Come here for a real Vietnamese experience. Came here with my family and enjoyed the atmosphere. Only downside: Heard from several people that you should stay clear of the first seafood vendor on the right hand side as he/they will scam the life out of you and don’t serve fresh seafood (see photo). Otherwise definitely worth a visit!”
“Our hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance of this street, and we noticed that during the day it functions as a flower market, while at night it transforms into a food street. Many of the food vendors set up in the evening. Food options are fairly limited and repetitive—mostly skewers (sausages, hot dogs, and various meats), seafood like lobster and snails, bánh khọt (savory mini pancakes), and fresh juices. There isn’t a wide variety, but it’s lively and convenient. One of the night markets in HCMC. We tried the bánh khọt in mixed option which came with eight pieces for 45,000 VND. They were freshly made and tasty, though a bit oily and greasy, as expected. Vendors only accept cash. We also grabbed sugarcane juice from a nearby stall and asked for less ice. Even then, it still came with one scoop (apparently the standard is two). Overall, it’s a fun street to walk through at night, especially if you’re nearby and want a quick, casual bite.”
“Amazing! Highly recommend! Authentic Local Experience! If you like seafood! Or are interested in trying out some local cuisine that you can do on your budget! This is it! Friendly people! Local living! Wide variety of food options! Lobster, crab, oysters, scallops, prawns, octopus, snails, noodles, rice, vegetables, soups, stir fry. It starts about 5pm. Goes till 10-11pm.”
“Amazing food options - so many seafood varieties on the street. However most people here don’t speak English - and I couldn’t understand most of the foood. However, pictures and google translate helped a lot. Had class, multiple types of snails and oysters - loved it”
