Jogoya Japanese Buffet Restaurant

“It’s probably one of the oldest Japanese buffets in KL. The last time I came here was already 15 years ago. Besides the usual sashimi and fried items that are ready to pick up and eat, there are also quite a lot of teriyaki dishes that are made to order. The food selection is huge — even if you try a little of everything, you still won’t be able to finish it all. The taste is good and consistently decent across the board. There’s also no pork, so it’s suitable for bringing friends of different backgrounds. The dessert selection is generous too, with Baskin Robbins ice cream, coconut water, red wine, and more. The price is around RM229 per person. If you’re a big eater, it’s definitely worth it.”

“People pay for the high price for the foods variety, alcoholic drinks & environment. In term of freshness, taste & quality👅, I will not recommend at all. Some tasteless, prawn not fresh, sashimi cut have no standards. Hot dishes are cold. Some display cooked foods were dry. CNY price also higher for the fresh abalones but no taste. Alcoholic drinks available and unfortunately all of us are non drinker. Very noisy and dark. I will not come back again for the price we paid: Not a good place for gatherings.”

“Easily one of the most value-for-money buffets in KL. The selection is huge — so many choices that you realistically can’t sample everything in one visit. I managed to try around 60% of the items, and honestly, almost everything ranged from good to very delicious. The only dish that didn’t quite meet my standard was the Chinese-style steamed fish slices. It tasted like frozen fish — slightly fishy and a bit mushy. But that’s really a small minus considering the overall quality and variety. Overall experience was great, food quality was solid, and the selection alone makes it worth it. I’ll definitely revisit. Totally worth the price.”

“Worth every money I've spent! The variety of Japanese food is amazing. And they also have spaghetti as well. Things like okonomiyaki or lamb shank are prepared upon ordering (using a clip with numbers on it). They will send to your table once its ready! Isn't that amazing?! They also have private rooms in case you want more privacy (only for 10 pax above). As for the food, everything taste amazing especially their seafood. Fresh and can be pair with every type of sauces. Fish salmon is fresh and all of us complimented the cheesy shrimp.”
