Kad Kafé Restaurant at Shangri-La Chiang Mai

“I had made reservations and was greeted by a lovely young lady at the restaurant entrance. I ordered a Tom Yum Mojito which was delicious. I sampled a little bit of everything and I actually went for the seafood which was good but loved the German pork with the crispy skin.. Service was a Gem here as all the staff, servers, ect are top notch. They were very friendly and super attentive. Food was Fresh and Hot!! Thanks Fred Tolodziecki”

“I have done many sunday brunch buffets, this here clearly has seen its best days. No idea why the reviews are so high. Very little selection: look at the bread station, i had to ask for jam, there was just butter. Look at the fruit and salad quality, even the roast. Not even simple tetra pack orange juice or still water included. That is a NO GO! Feels like a scan. A disgrace, I hope if there is a GM reading this they have to take action. Were Shangrila Gold members and just came for brunch. Absolute horrible!”

“Overall subpar experience at Shangri-la's Friday dinner buffet. Food came up short in terms of flavour and execution. Sashimi was icey, sushi tasted worse than the budget ones I've eaten back home, most of the seafood was fishy, roast meats were dry, and desserts were mild/tasteless. It's also very surprising to see little to no Thai cuisine at a buffet in Thailand. Not sure if it's common here but usually local cuisine is served even during a themed buffet. The staff service was good but overstretched. Staff to table ratio is way off and they had to juggle far too many tables for service to be adequate. Sometimes we had to run around looking for our attendant and this was when the place is under-occupied (~7-10 tables). The ambience is relatively okay though the place does appear to show it's age. If possible, I wish I could have been seated outside (trees and lights were nice). It's telling when your signature buffet has so few tables, especially on a Friday night.”

“It was a Thai cruise buffet dinner promotion at shangri-la chiang mai. The food presentation was great. The waitress was super friendly and showcase Thai food to me. It was very personalised service with extra miles to ensure I have enjoyed my dinner. Food: huge variety amd taste good Service: excellent Atmosphere: very relaxing and good.”

“We visited twice — once for the Friday night special buffet and again for the Sunday seafood brunch, which also included complimentary kids’ arts & crafts and access to the swimming pool. The atmosphere, food, and service were all wonderful (special thanks to Benz and Mild!). We especially enjoyed the tenderloin steak cooked to order, the pistachio tiramisu, and the Tom Yum mojito cocktail. The kids were just as happy — they loved the mozzarella and tomato salad, the cheese buffet, and of course, the desserts. Highly recommended!”
