“Had reunion dinner here with my family and the food and service was all great. Strongly recommend the peking duck. The 2nd prep choose the sweet n sour finish. First time I had duck meat that’s so fragrant n crispy. 2 dishes that I felt was meh was the lobster and mapo tofu. Lobster seemed overcooked with meat stuck to the shells and was a tad unchewable like over cooked steak. Mapo tofu was not spicy, maybe I’ve tried the real deal in china, this was just sweet and salty. The dining areas was a mini vault. So quite exclusive and well decorated. Would recommend here for family gatherings as they have long tables up to 16pax in 1 sitting.”

The staff were very friendly and nice, taking great care of us even though we were a large group. Service felt warm, attentive, and welcoming. I’ve also visited Laoteng many times with my family, and it has always been consistently good. The restaurant is spacious and elegant, making it a great choice for any type of group—whether family gatherings, celebrations, or casual lunches with friends. Overall, Laoteng is one of my go-to restaurants in Bangkok when I want delicious Chinese food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially for the Peking Duck!”

“Celebrated with a party of 15 in a private room on February 13th and everything exceeded expectations. The elegant atmosphere. The Peking duck was a highlight - achieving that elusive paper-thin, crackling skin that’s the mark of proper technique. The three-style roasted meats platter showcased expert roasting with perfectly rendered fat and glazing. Poached chicken arrived tender and pristine with balanced ginger-scallion sauce. The whole steamed fish was impeccably fresh with delicate seasoning that enhanced rather than masked the fish. Dim sum selection was extensive and beautifully executed, from delicate har gow to creative presentations like the adorable hedgehog-shaped buns. Every basket showed careful attention to wrapper texture and filling quality. The variety meant everyone in our large group found favorites. Private room service was seamless for 15 people, with dishes arriving at the right temperature and pace. The quality, presentation, and group dining experience justify the premium positioning.”
