Mamasan Bali

“We’ve been wanting to try Mama San after hearing so many great reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was fully booked on a Wednesday night when we visited, which already says a lot. We tried almost all the small plates and everything was really good. Our favourite was the duck mushroom truffle “siu mai” — absolutely standout. We’ve been to quite a number of great restaurants in Bali, and this one is definitely among the best. There were still dishes we wanted to try, like the Peking duck, but we were simply too full. Would definitely come back again next time.”

“We had a beautiful meal here for our last meal in Bali. The food was delicious, the pork belly, tuna and Peking duck are a must! We also had the scallops for a starter but were not big fans of this one. The service was excellent by all staff members, from meet and greet to the wait staff at the table. The atmosphere for dinner is lovely and the music was an excellent choice, really suited the ambiance . We were celebrating my mums bday, after our meal they bought out a lovely complimentary dessert plate, the passionfruit brûlée was absolutely Devine!”

“Hands down our favourite restaurant in Seminyak! The ambience is so beautiful, calming and classy! Love the architecture, the decor! Great menu with good veg options! I happened to order the nam yam style salad which blew our minds! Everything we ordered was great! I’ve already recommended this place to everyone travelling to bali, would love to come back!”

“Wow what an amazing feast we had today! We had the prawn gyoza, scallop pancakes, beef carpaccio, lobster shrimp pop corn, soft shell crab and tuna on squid ink and sago crisps. Please see the photos below. The photos don’t do the flavours justice! The sauces are paired so perfectly! The food is extremely reasonable for the exceptional taste! Our bill was only increased because of a bottle of cheapest bubbles which was $75 (fairly normal in Bali). The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was perfect, and the aircon comfort to die for! My husband and I have our secret love Nobu but this has just become one of our must go to’s!”

“The last time I was here was a few years ago, before they expanded the restaurant. Now it’s twice the size—and it was my husband’s first visit. He’s a very picky eater who loves trying interesting flavors, and he said it was ABOVE his expectations. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the tables for 2–4 people are a bit close to each other, so having a private conversation might be challenging. That said, the food was an absolutely fantastic experience.
