“We had a last-minute booking at 9 PM, and while they were kind enough to accept us, everything that followed was deeply disappointing. We originally booked ventosa with body scrub, but from the moment we entered, the experience went downhill. The reception already had a foul odor, which became even more disturbing when we entered inside. We waited on their massage chairs while they were preparing our room. The masseuse insisted we switch to a package with sauna “for better relaxation,” and we reluctantly agreed. Unfortunately, even their towels smelled unpleasant — damp and unclean. The place felt exposed, with people from Aurora Boulevard able to see guests walking to and from the massage, shower, and sauna areas. Rooms were only separated with curtains, and one of the curtains even fell down when we were waiting. The sauna was the only decent part of the visit. After that, the body scrub was uncomfortable and poorly executed. We were lathered with soap on the same massage table meant for the massage, in an air-conditioned room that was freezing. Covered in soap, we were told to wait while they prepared the shower — one of the most uncomfortable moments of the night. The shower itself was filthy, with hair scattered across the floor, no shampoo provided, and towels that smelled bad. The water temperature couldn’t even be adjusted. We hoped the massage would redeem the experience, but it did not. The masseuse attempted ventosa by lighting cotton directly on my back, while my husband’s masseuse struggled with an electric igniter. They repeatedly complained that there was no alcohol to ignite the flame, and that the perfume they used was not working. They then gave up and kept pressuring us to switch to hot stone or ear candling instead. It was unsettling and unprofessional. The massage strokes were harsh, with smacking and punching instead of soothing techniques. Staff laughed loudly among themselves, making it impossible to relax. Overall, this was a stressful, unpleasant experience. Instead of feeling refreshed, I felt dirty and uneasy, as though I needed another bath after leaving. We paid ₱3,200 for a package that was absolutely not worth it.”
